A first object of the present invention is to provide an improved diaper manufacturing apparatus that reduces the cost of manufacturing disposable diapers by making minor modifications to existing machinery. Yet another object is to provide an apparatus capable of efficiently and economically manufacturing the diaper of Patent No. 11483740. To achieve these objects, the present invention provides that the outer surface of a hollow, perforated drum or the outer surface of a flexible screen forming an endless loop forms a movable platform for forming a core of absorbent material of a predetermined thickness; On the outer surface of the porous drum or flexible screen,
A plurality of block elements having a height substantially equal to the predetermined thickness of the batting are fixedly arranged at intervals, and the block elements have a diameter of 6.4 to 25.4 m7n (1/4 to 1 inch).
cylindrical in shape, the adjacent block elements are spaced apart by a distance at least equal to the diameter of the block elements, and a device for creating a negative pressure area is provided on the inner surface side of the perforated drum or flexible screen; A disposable diaper manufacturing device is provided that includes a device for driving a perforated drum or a flexible screen.

According to the disposable diaper manufacturing apparatus of the present invention having such a configuration, a large number of block elements are fixedly arranged at intervals on the outer surface of the hollow porous drum or the outer surface of the flexible screen,
Moreover, since the height of these block elements is formed to be substantially equal to the predetermined thickness of the batting, it is possible to simultaneously form the batting of the predetermined thickness and the continuous pattern of holes in the batting. Therefore, the batting produced by the disposable diaper manufacturing apparatus of the present invention can be used as absorbent batting for disposable diapers without any additional processing. The manufacturing cost of disposable diapers can be reduced, and it can also contribute to efficient and economical manufacturing of disposable diapers. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. Referring to FIG. 1, the apparatus includes a hollow, perforated drum 10, the outer surface 12 of which constitutes the surface that forms the core of the absorbent material.

When the device is in operation, the drum rotates counterclockwise as shown. On one side of the drum 10 is a chute 14 through which the absorbent material 1 is arranged to form a batting 18 on the outer surface 12.
Send out 6. Preferably, a conventional blower (not shown) is used to quickly and reliably deposit the absorbent material 16 onto the outer surface 12. Further, in order to create a negative pressure area on the inner surface side of the drum 10 corresponding to the chute 14, a negative pressure manifold 20 is provided in the drum 10 at a position aligned with the chute 14. Manifold 20 is connected to a vacuum pump (not shown). The negative pressure region helps form and retain the absorbent core on the drum 10 through its suction. A horizontally running conveyor 22 is wrapped around a roller 24 located adjacent to and below the drum 10. A first strip 26 of tissue paper is drawn from the supply roll 28 onto the ground on the conveyor 22 near the rollers 24. Next, the absorbent core WIJ18 is placed on top of the strip 26. Removal of batting 18 from the surface may be facilitated by appropriately locating blower 30 within drum 10. A second strip 32 of tissue paper is fed to the supply roll 3
After being pulled out from 4 and passed around rollers 36, it is placed on top of the batting 18 being transported by the conveyor 22. In accordance with the present invention, a blocking element 38 (see also FIG. 1A) is provided on the outer surface 12 of the drum 10.

2 by a distance substantially equal to the thickness of the batting 18. Elements 38 are preferably arranged regularly across surface 12. Adjacent elements are separated by a distance at least approximately equal to the diameter of the individual element. Element 38 cooperates with negative pressure manifold 20 (and a blower supplied from chute 14 to assist in the deposition of absorbent material) to create a batting having a continuous pattern of holes therethrough. The hole is connected to the drum 1 that rotates the batting.
This corresponds to the location of block element 38 when formed on 0. In this manner, the apparatus produces an absorbent body consisting of absorbent batt 18 sandwiched between tissue papers 26, 32 with a pattern of through holes. This absorbent body is then conveyed to conveyor 2.
2 to other conventional equipment (not shown) for further processing of the absorbent body (e.g., fixing the tissue paper 26, 32 to the batting 18) or for other conventional disposable equipment (not shown). The final product is obtained by assembling the parts and the absorbent body. Second
The figure shows an alternative embodiment of a device constructed according to the invention, the main difference from that of FIG. 1 being the provision of a flexible conveyor screen 40 in place of the rotating drum 10. .
