  1. 固定軸に固定した回転リングと、該回転軸を囲繞するケ
    ーシングに取付けられた固定リングとで軸封面を形成す
    るメカニカルシールにおいて、固定リングの軸封面に環
    状溝を設け、同環状溝で区画された半径方向外側の面に
    その円周表向に沿って、同一方向に湾曲する複数の溝部
    を配設してなることを特徴とするメカニカルシール。
