Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the peeling of transfer paper and a donor sheet to enhance operability, by a method wherein a jet orifice is provided to the leading end of a paper guide for determining the feed path of the transfer paper and compressed air is blown to the adhered part ends of the transfer paper and the donor sheet from said jet orifice. CONSTITUTION:Transfer paper 1 is inserted between a thermal head 3 and a back roller 4 while superposed to a donor sheet 2 and the color forming part of the donor sheet 2 is thermally transferred to the transfer paper 1 when both of them are passed on the thermal head 3. The transfer paper 1 is fed to the leading end phase of a paper guide 10 while adhered to the donor sheet 2 and peeled from the donor sheet 2 by compressed air injected from the jet orifice 10a of the guide 10 to be introduced between the paper guide 10 and a paper guide 9. The donor sheet 2 is conveyed to a wind-up side by a drive roller 5 and a pintch roller 6.
