[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to an absorbent pad used for a colostomy appliance.
More specifically, the present invention relates to a precept-type absorbent pad that is used by being incorporated into various cup-shaped appliances.

A colostomy is generally a surgical procedure performed to remove the large intestine due to causes such as rectal cancer, ulcerative colitis, or Hirschsprung's disease.
An excretory hole (hereinafter referred to as a stoma) constructed in the abdominal wall as an outlet for excreting all of the contents of the colon.

Such stomas do not have an anal sphincter muscle, and intestinal mucosal prolapse phenomenon, in which the intestinal mucosa protrudes from the stoma due to intestinal oscillation, is often observed.

Similarly, since there is no anal sphincter, feces and intestinal fluids are excreted involuntarily and irregularly.

Therefore, it is difficult to keep the area around the stoma clean at all times, and dermatitis, redness, erosion, etc. occur around the stoma.

People with a colostomy use devices such as a fecal bag called a pack or a cup-shaped urinal container to dispose of their bowel movements by attaching them to their stomas. It is used by being incorporated into a device that has a specific structure, which prevents the intestinal mucosal prolapse phenomenon to a considerable extent, and also has excellent absorption characteristics and prevents dermatitis around the stoma. It is something that can be prevented.

That is, the present invention is an absorbent pad that is used by being incorporated into a cup-shaped ostomy appliance, and the center part of the pad is convex, the outer periphery is concave along the inner periphery of the appliance, and the outer periphery is convex. This is a brim-shaped absorbent pad for an ostomy appliance, characterized in that it is brim-shaped at approximately the same height as the central portion.

In other words, the hollow-shaped absorbent pad of the present invention has a convex central part, and the convex central part lightly contacts the prolapsed intestinal mucosa, thereby preventing intestinal mucosa prolapse, and at the same time, this convex central part lightly contacts the prolapsed intestinal mucosa. The part contacts the stoma and quickly absorbs excretory fluid discharged from the stoma, keeping the area around the stoma relatively dry at all times.

In addition, the hollow-shaped absorbent pad of the present invention has an outer periphery concavely shaped to follow the shape of the cup, so it can be properly incorporated into the cup, and the cup itself is less likely to get dirty and can be easily replaced.

In addition, the outer periphery 3 of the pad of the present invention has a concave shape according to the shape of the cup-shaped device to be used, and the outer periphery 4 is molded into a brim shape at approximately the same height as the central portion 2, so that it does not fit into the cup. It can be set accurately and easily, it is easy to replace, and there is little chance of soiling the cup itself or leakage of excrement from the cup.
