    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 現像剤供給開口を下方に有する現像剤容器内の現像剤残
    量を、前記供給開口近傍に配置された現像剤残量検知器
    によって検知する静電潜像現像装置において、前記現像
    剤容器内の前記現像剤供給開口近傍の長手方向の一部に
    、他部に比べて前記長手方向に直角な方向の断面積が小
    さい検知領域を設け、この検知領域に、前記現像剤残量
    検知器をその作用面を前記長手方向に直角な方向に向け
    て配置したことを特徴とする静電潜像現像装置。
