A planting device is attached to the traveling machine so that it can be raised and lowered by expanding and contracting the ram of a hydraulic cylinder, and the planting device has two positions on both sides of the machine: a working position in which markers are protruded to the sides of the machine, and a non-working position in which markers are stored on the machine body. In a rice transplanter movably attached to a rice transplanter, a pair of marker actuating members are disposed to be slidable approximately parallel to the expansion and contraction direction of the ram of the hydraulic cylinder, and these marker actuating members are linked to the ram of the cylinder. and are connected to the markers via wires so that the markers are moved to a non-working position in conjunction with the raising of the planting device based on the extension of the ram, and the markers are also placed in the non-working position. When the marker actuating member is in the position, an integral lock plate is provided so as to engage with a locking portion formed on each marker actuating member, and the lock plate is biased by a fulcrum crossing spring to move left and right.
