Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the position of a key top, by fitting rotatably a hemispherical key input part where keys are arrayed at a plane part to a panel. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard panel 2 contains a fixed key input part 3 where keys having comparatively low service frequencies are arrayed and a mobile key input part 5 where keys 4 having high service frequencies such as numeric character keys, arithmetic instruction keys, etc. are arrayed. The part 5 is loosely fitted into a circular hole formed on a panel surface 2 by means of a hemispherical key carrier 6. The carrier 6 is connected with a spring 7 to avoid dropout from the surface 2. An end of the spring 7 is fixed to the carrier 6 with the other end fixed to the bottom surface of a main body case 1, respectively. The carrier 6 keeps a delicate positional relation to the surface 2, and slide preventing rubbers 8 and 9 having large contact resistance are adhered to the peripheral part of the carrier 6 as well as to the inner surface of the hole of the panel 2 in order to prevent a shift between the carrier 6 and the panel 2. The peripheral part swelled out of the panel surface of the carrier 6 is lifted and moved to a position suited to the operation of an operator to be fixed by the spring and the rubbers 8 and 9.
