Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 この考案はタイヤなどに組込んで使用するゴム補強用の
スチールコードに関する。
この種のスチールコードの開発当初にあっては、ワイヤ
の撚り構造が（ＩＸ２），（ＩＸ３），（ＩＸ７）など
単純なものであったが、近時より高い性能を得るために
、（７Ｘ４）さらには（３＋９＋１５）という複雑な構
造に移行しつつある。
ところが従来においてはいずれもその撚りが交叉撚りで
あり、このため心線外周における各層相互のワイヤが互
いに点接触をし、このため耐摩耗性、耐疲労性の点で難
があるとともに、コード径当りの切断荷重（ＣＲＳ）も
小さく、また製造にあたっては各層ごとに分けての撚合
工程を必要とする難点があった。
この考案はこのような点に着目してなされたもので、心
線の外周の各ワイヤを平行撚りの構造をもって撚ること
により、耐摩耗性、耐疲労性に優れ、コード径当りの切
断荷重（ＣＲＳ）も大きく、また心線外周の各ワイヤを
一工程で能率的に撚合することができるようにしたゴム
補強用のスチールコードを提供しようとするものである
。
第１図はこの考案の一実施例に係るスチールコードの断
面を示し、３本のワイヤ１・・・・・・を予め撚合して
構戒した心線２の外周に、７本の同径のワイヤ３・・・
・・・を配置し、さらにその外周に異径の７本ずつのワ
イヤ４・・・・・・，５・・・・・・をそれぞれ交互に
配置し、これら心線２の外周の各層のワイヤ ３・・・・・・，４・・・・・・，５・・・・・・をそ
れぞれ平行に、すなわち同一のピッチで心線２と逆の方
向に撚り合せ、もって（３＋７＋７＋７）の構造に構威
してある。
なお、６はラツピングワイヤである。
このように構威した本考案のスチールコードと、第２図
に示すごと＜ 、（３＋９＋１５）の構造をもって構威
された従来の交叉撚りのスチールコードとの特性上の相
違を次表に示す。
この表から明らかなように、この考案によれば、コード
径当りの切断荷重を大きくすることができ、したがって
それだけスチールコードとしての性能が向上する。
また、撚り構造が平行撚りであるため、心線外周におけ
る各層のワイヤ相互が線接触をし、このためその相互の
摩耗を抑制して耐疲労性の向上を図ることができる。
一方、製造に当っては、心線外周のワイヤを一工程で撚
合することができるから、その作業を能率的にかつ経済
的に達或することができる。
以上説明のようにこの考案によれば、３本のワイヤを撚
合して構威した心線の外周に、同径の７本のワイヤを配
置し、さらにその外周に７本ずつの異径のワイヤをそれ
ぞれ交互に配置し、これら各層のワイヤをそれぞれ平行
に撚合して（３＋７＋７＋７）の構造に構戒するように
したから、耐摩耗性、耐疲労性に優れ、コード径当りの
切断荷重を大きく、また各層のワイヤを一工程で能率的
に撚合することができるという実用的価値の高いスチー
ルコードを提供することができるものである。

  1. ３本のワイヤを撚合して構戊した心線の外周に、同径の
    ７本のワイヤを配置し、さらにその外周に７本ずつの異
    径のワイヤをそれぞれ交互に配置し、これら各層のワイ
    ヤをそれぞれ平行に撚合して（３＋７＋７＋７）の構造
    に構戊してなるゴム補強用のスチールコード。
