    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. プラテンと、このプラテンと対向して配置され記録紙に
    印字を行なう印字手段と、前記記録紙をプラテンに沿わ
    せ印字位置へと案内する案内部材と、この案内部材の記
    録紙導入部側に設けられこの導入部の幅を可変制御する
    規制部材と、この規制部材の状態を検出する検出手段と
    、この検出手段からの検出信号に応答して前記印字手段
    による印字領域を制御する印字制御手段とを具備して成
    る印字装置。
