  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 垂直方向に間隔を設けて配備された入力軸と中空の可変
    ピッチプロペラ軸との間に介装される歯車式２段減速装
    置であって、 入力軸端に設けられる第１ピニオンと、該第１ピニオン
    の両側において第１ピニオンに相噛合する一対の第１ギ
    ヤと、該第１ギヤをそれぞれ具備し、相平行する軸心が
    前記入力軸と略同一平面上にあり、軸受により回動自在
    に支持された一対の中間軸と、プロペラ軸の端部寄りに
    設けられる第２ギヤと、該第２ギヤに相噛合し前記各中
    間軸にそれぞれ設けられる一対の第２ピニオンからなり
    、前記第１ピニオンは前記プロペラ軸端の上方より船尾
    側に配置して可変ピッチプロペラのピッチ制御装置をプ
    ロペラ軸端に配備できるようにしたことを特徴とする減
    速装置。
