    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. プラテンに沿ってプラテンの長手方向にキャリア駆動部
    と、キャリアに搭裁された印字素子を有する印字素子部
    と、キャリアに支持されキャリアの移動に伴なって前記
    印字素子部の印字素子を所定の駆動周期を以て駆動する
    素子駆動部と、該素子駆動部に対して印字信号を発生す
    る素子駆動制御部とを含み、ドツトの集合により文字等
    を形成するシリアル式ドツトプリンタにおいて、前記プ
    ラテンの左右両端に凸状態の段差を設けた事を特徴とす
    るプラテン。
