  1. バルブガイドに案内されたバルブステムの先端部にバル
    ブスプリングリテーナを設けたエンジンにおいて、前記
    バルブスプリングリテーナのバルブガイド側端面に、該
    バルブガイド側に開口した筒状の遮蔽部を設け、この遮
    蔽部をバルブが開いたときバルブガイド端部側を覆い、
    前記バルブが閉じ、たと−き該端部側を露呈するよう形
    成したことを特徴とするバルブガイドのオイル下り防止
