Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. ２次元パターンと基準パターンとを比較し、該２次元パ
    ターンのパターン認識を行なうようにしたパターンマツ
    チング装置において、該２次元パターンを水平方向およ
    び垂直方向に２次元走査し該２次元パターンに対する画
    像信号を発生するセンサと、該画像信号をサンプリング
    し該２次元パターンの画素を表わす画素信号を形成する
    サンプル回路と、該画素信号が供給され該２次元パター
    ンの水平方向の画素列毎におよび垂直方向の画素列毎に
    画素数をカウントする複数のカウンタと、該カウンタの
    カウント値を該２次元パターンのデータとし該基準パタ
    ーンを表わす基準データと比較する比較器とからなり、
    該２次元パターンと該基準パターンとを比較するための
    データを縮少することができるように構成したことを特
    徴とするパターンマツチング装置。
