Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable reading out a magnetic card and an IC card by one device by providing a magnetic head and a contact head on one end and the other end, respectively, and by abuting either one of heads on a guide groove selectively. CONSTITUTION:When the right end of a reading head member 4 is pressed downward, a detaining tool 13 is engaged therewith, which causes a magnetic head 6 to stop in the condition where it protrudes at a guide groove. When a magnetic card MK is shifted in the condition, the magnetic head 6 is suppressed to the surface of a magnetic strip and reads out information, which is outputted. When the magnetic card is completely read out, the engagement of the detaining tool 13 is released. Then the reading head member 4 stops with its both ends floating from the guide groove. When an IC card K is shifted in this condition, its top abuts on a stopper 8 and stops. When the left end of the reading head member 4 is pressed and engaged with a detaining tool 14 at this time, a contact pin 9a is brought into contact with a contact point of the IC card K, and information interchange with a computer becomes possible.

ら磁気カードとICカー1は、その動作原理が全く異な
るため、その読出しにはそれぞれ専用の読出し装置を用
いねばならず、使用に際して不便であるという問題があ
る。

取付け、他生には、その先端を下方に6設させてICカ
ードストッパ8を形成するとともに、複数のコンタクト
ビン9aを持つコンタクトへラド9を、またその近傍に
ICカード検出用マイクロスイッチ10を配設して構成
されている。
