As shown in the attached schematic diagram of the embodiment of the present invention, a water intake port A and a discharge port B are formed at both longitudinal ends of the waterway type pool 1. A main line 11 equipped with a pump 3 connects the water inlet A to the outlet B of this pool 1.
By operating the pump 3, it is possible to circulate water through the main line 11 and cause a water flow from the discharge port B in the pool 1 to the suction (3) water port A side.

This sub-line 12 uses a pump 31 to constantly circulate water within the sub-line 12 to filter the water in the pool and adjust the water temperature. The water flow is about 1/10 to 1/20. Therefore, it can be treated as having almost no influence on any amount of water flow adjustment in the main line 11, which will be described in detail later.

When a swimmer is located within the section provided with the swimmer, at least one detection end 4°, 5° or 6" is activated to detect the position of the swimmer. In addition, a water velocity meter 10 is placed at a predetermined position base ζ in the section where the detection ends 41, 5°, and 61 are provided, and the detection end 101 installed underwater It is possible to detect the velocity of flowing water in the provided section.

When the swimmer starts swimming toward the side, the detection end 41 first detects the swimmer. Therefore, the control device 9 operates the pump 3 to generate a predetermined water flow within the pool 1. Here, if the swimming speed of the swimmer and the speed of the water flow are approximately equal, the swimmer will continue to be detected by either one or both of the detection ends 41, 51, and the control device 9 will detect the water flow. The pump 3 is driven and controlled so as to maintain .
