Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a titled welding torch which stabilizes beads, decreases welding defects and improves reliability of welding by attaching or building a wire straightener to or into a welding torch thereby eliminating the bend of a wire and decreasing the fluctuation in the wire extension thereof. CONSTITUTION:A wire straightener 9 is attached or built to or into a welding torch body 1 at the top end of a conduit cable 3. A welding wire 2 under feeding is straightened reactilinear by the stationary rollers 9a, 9b and moving roller 9c of the straightener 9 and is supplied from the top end of the torch 1 to the weld zone. The fluctuation of the weld point and the fluctuation in the wire extension owing to bending are decreased, beads are stabilized and the reliability of welding is improved.

Next, the operation will be explained. Figure 1 shows an example of welding workpieces using an automatic welding device, in which voltage and current commands are given to the welding power source (5) and the wire feeding device (4) is welded. When the feed roller (4a) is rotated, the conduit cable (3) is released from the wire reel (4b).
Welding wire (2) to welding torch (1) through the inside of
will be sent. On the other hand, the outlet of the welding power source (5) is supplied with power to the welding torch (1) through the current path (6a) and the conduit cable (3). Generally, in the gas shield welding method (MIG, MAG"), the shielding gas (not shown) is also connected to the welding torch (1) using a conduit cable.
is supplied to. The welding torch (1) generally has a structure as shown in FIG. The output of the welding power source is fed from a welding current conductor (IC) to a contact tip (lb). The welding wire (2) passes through the inside of the spring lychee (1d) in the direction of the arrow and connects the contact tip (1d) with the welding wire (2).
b) After being energized by contacting the material to be welded (
7), a welding current flows, an arc is generated, and welding begins. The shielding gas is blown out from the nozzle (la) through the gas flow path (1e) to gas-shield the welding area and cut off air. The welding torch (1) is fixed to an automatic welding device (not shown) by a holder (8), and welding is performed by moving the automatic welding device along the weld line of the material to be welded (7). be.

The welding torch used in conventional automatic welding equipment is configured as described above, so if the conduit cable bends, slacks, or twists due to a change in welding position, the welding wire is deformed and the welding torch At the protrusion, the welding wire may be bent or the wire protrusion length may vary. This causes a deviation in the target position of the welding line, and the amount and direction of the deviation during welding are not constant, resulting in the weld bead being unstable and causing welding defects.

Next, the operation will be explained. In Figure 8, welding wire (2) is fed through conduit cable (3).
) is fed to the welding torch (1) through a wire straightener (9) provided at one end on the upper part of the barrel of the welding torch (1). Here, the welding wire (2) is connected to the guide hole (9e).
From there, pass the wire straightening device fixing rollers (9a) and (9b) through the guide hole (9f).

A moving roller (9C) is placed in the middle position between a) and (9b), and the welding wire (
2) It can move in a direction perpendicular to the feeding direction. Now, adjust the adjustment screw (9d) and move the moving roller (9C).
By pushing in, the welding wire (2) is plastically deformed as shown in FIG. In other words, it is corrected. The amount of correction is when the welding wire (2) is brought out from the exit of the welding torch (1) at a distance between the tip and the base metal (15 to 80 mm).
Adjustment is made using the adjustment screw (9d) to an extent that no bending occurs.
