  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 シリンダとシリンダヘッドとピストンとによって画成さ
    れた燃焼室と、 前記シリンダヘッドに形成されかつ前記燃焼室に吸気の
    スワールを発生させるように指向された吸気ポートを含
    み、吸気バルブにより開閉される主吸気通路と、 前記主吸気通路とは別途に設けられ、前記吸気弁のフェ
    イス面近傍にその出口端が開口されて、吸入行程時に、
    前記燃焼室に気体を噴射して前記吸気ポート′により発
    生される吸気のスワールと同一旋回方向に吸気のスワー
    ルを発生さすせるための副吸気通路と、 前記シリンダヘッド内面のうち、前記吸気ポートの燃焼
    室への開口端よりも前記スワールの旋回方向後方側にお
    いて突設されたマスキングと、を有することを特徴とす
    る内燃機関。
