PURPOSE:To exhibit the dust-proof effect with limited space irrespectively of the corss-section of the inner mechanism by combining a movable/shrinkable cover, a fixed cover and a guideboard effectively in a sliding table of perpendicularly crossing robot. CONSTITUTION:Upon motion of slider 2 of sliding table to the right, the movable/shrinkable cover is compressed to the right against a fixing board 11 while upon motion to the left, the movable cover 7 is contracted against the fixing board 10 while utilizing the space of motor cover 12. When guding/supporting the movable/shrinkable cover 7 through a fixed cover 6 and a guide board 8 in such a manner, the upper space of the motor cover 12 can be utilized effectively for the containing space of movable cover 7 under contraction by covering the guiderail 2 and the ball screw mechanism 3 not individually but entirely resulting in the saving of space and the improvement of the dust-proof effect.
