A piston rod that can slide inside the cylinder and has a piston equipped at its tip with a damping force generating mechanism is extended outside the cylinder, a coil spring is wound around the cylinder outer circumference, and a sub-tank connected to the cylinder via a connecting pipe is placed outside the cylinder.
