は光学系と受光素子を使用して印刷版上の図柄の一定面
積に投光し、この反射光を受光素子で受光し、反射光の
強弱を電気信号に変換し、印刷版の各インキ流量調整装
置に対応する領域毎に集積して、インキの供給量を算出
していた。この場合に印刷版の図柄は網点の集合で構成
されているのに対して、この方法では図柄の一定面積部
分での反射光の明暗を全体的に読取って電気信号に変換
し、集積してインキの供給量を演算するので、測定結果
と実際のインキ必要量との間に誤差が生じ、測定結果に
基づいてインキ流量調整装置を調整しても、オペレータ
