Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify assembly by providing holes for passing the positioning pins erected to assembling jigs to prescribed positions and holes to permit movement of movable pins of the assembling jigs for positioning a liquid crystal display element to a printed wiring board. CONSTITUTION:A device is constituted of the printed wiring board (PWB)10, a case 20 to be attached onto said board and the liquid crystal element 30 to be disposed in the space thereof. The positioning holes 11-13 and holes 14, 15 are formed through the PWB10. The holes 11-13 are used for unequivocal positioning by being inserted with the positioning pins 51-53 fixed to the assembling jigs not shown. The holes 14, 15 are inserted with the movable pins 54, 55 erected to the jigs and are made into an elliptical shape to permit smooth movement of the pins 54, 55. The lugs 24 of the case 20 are passed into the holes 16. The case 20 has the holes 25-29 (partly not shown) for insertion of the pins 51-55 at the ceiling thereof and is provided with a window 23 for display. The display element 30 provided in the window 23 is fixed via conductive rubber 40 to the PWB10. The assembly is thus accurately and easily executed with the simple device.

る。なおスリット穴16とツメ24は遊びがあるので、
未だケース20とPWBloは結合されていない。この
様な状態で、表示素子30は可動ピン54.55により
隣接する2辺31.32(第3図参照)をP矢符及びQ
矢符へ押され、残る2辺33.34が位置決めピン51
゜52.53に当接して位置決めが達成される。可動ピ
ン54.55は装置組立用治具によりP矢符。

徴とする液晶表示装置。 (2)ケースは前記位置決めピン及び可動ピンを該ピン
の移動の妨げとなることなく挿通する穴を有する特許請
求の範囲第1項記載の液晶表示装置。 (3)ケースは、液晶表示素子と、該素子と印刷配線基
板間に配置される電気接続用の導電性ゴムとを前記印刷
配線基板側へ押付は固定した状態で、印刷配線基板に固
定されている特許請求の範囲第1項または第2項に記載
の液晶表示装置。
