ターダの制動力の変化を示すグラフ、第６図は回転の角
速度に対する最適な負荷抵抗の値を示すグラフである。 なお図面に用いた符号において、４・・・フライホイー
ル、７・・・誘導子磁極、９・・・ポールコア、１１・
・・電機子コイル、１２・・・界磁コイル、１４・・・
負荷抵抗（可変抵抗）、１５・・・回転検出センサ、１
９・・・ステップモータ、２０・・・摺動子、である。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. リターダを発電機から構成し、この発電機が発電を行な
    う際に外部からなされる仕事を制動力として利用するよ
    うにしたリターダにおいて、前記発電機の負荷抵抗の抵
    抗値を調整可能に構成し、エンジンの回転数に応じて前
    記負荷抵抗の抵抗値を変更するようにしたことを特徴と
    する自動車のリターダ。
