In general, atmospheric sensors that detect humidity and various gases (for example, city gas such as hydrogen gas, methane gas, carbon oxide, etc.) improve the sensitivity of each sensor and burn off dust attached to the sensor surface. In order to maintain the characteristics, so-called thermal cleaning, a sensor element with an integrated heater is used.

The sensor is also formed of an oxide semiconductor that has sensing properties for the gas. This oxide semiconductor material is
Each has a different specific resistance value. In particular, integrated sensors have poor selectivity because they are equipped with multiple sensors that detect gas based on the resistance value of each sensor. Therefore, it is difficult to create an integrated sensor element. In this case, the resistance value is adjusted so that the specific resistance i of each sensor is the same, thereby improving selectivity.

In the conventional integrated sensor configured in this way, for example, the sensor 5 made of the material with the lowest resistance value has a smaller effective area in order to make the resistance value the same as other sensors, and the sensor 5 is made of the material with the lowest resistance value. Sensor 2.4 with a high value has a large effective area and is one of four types of sensors 2'5.
The resistance value of 4.5 was kept the same.

In this way, if the area of each sensor is different, the arrangement of the substrate is restricted, and as seen in Figure 1, the gap between each sensor is insufficient, so that the area on the substrate heated by the heater is limited. There is a drawback that the temperature distribution is not uniform, making it difficult to position the sensor within a good temperature distribution, and as a result, the characteristics of the sensor are greatly affected.

On the other hand, it is impossible to miniaturize the sensor due to its area limitations, and as a result, it is impossible to reduce the power supplied to the heater or to lower the price of the senna element, which meets social demands. There was a drawback that it could not be satisfied.

However, adjusting the specific resistance value described above leads to a decrease in gas detection characteristics, and the stability of the microstructure between the additive material and the base sensor material deteriorates, which causes a drift phenomenon in the resistance value. There was a drawback that the aging characteristics deteriorated.

That is, the present invention adjusts the specific resistance value of the sensor by changing the film thickness of the sensor, instead of adjusting the specific resistance value of the sensor by adjusting the effective area of the sensor or the amount of additive added. By changing the film thickness of multiple sensors mounted on the substrate, the specific resistance value of each sensor is adjusted, and the specific resistance value of each sensor mounted on the substrate is made the same. From this experiment, the inventors confirmed that the individual resistance value of the sensor material changes depending on the film thickness, and that in order to keep the individual resistance value of the sensor material constant, it is necessary to adjust the film thickness of the sensor material. In FIG. 2, four types of gas sensors 15.14.degree. 15.16 having the same dimensions (same effective area) are formed with thick films on an insulating substrate 1. In an integrated sensor in which sensors made of oxide semiconductor are formed on the same substrate, the film thickness of the sensors formed on the substrate is changed, and a plurality of sensors formed on the substrate are formed on the same substrate. A sensor element characterized in that the resistance values of the sensors are made the same. 2. In an integrated sensor in which sensors made of oxide semiconductors are formed on the same substrate, the film thickness of the sensors formed on the substrate is changed to make the resistance values of the plurality of sensors formed on the substrate the same. A sensor element characterized in that sensors having the same effective area are formed on a substrate.
