Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案はシリンダーボア部にグロメット等の縁どり部材
を設けた内燃機関用金属積層形ガスケットの改良に係り
、従来のこの種のガスケットの欠点であるシリンダーボ
ア周りの締付は面圧の確保の困難性を除去することを目
的として案出したものである。
本考案は、この目的を達成するため、縁どり部材内に断
面Ｕ字形の補強環で挾持したアスベスト等の耐熱性ある
非金属性クッション材を充填したのである。
図面は本考案に係る内燃機関用金属積層形ガスケットの
一実施例を示し、数枚の中間板１，１・・・・・・を上
板２と下板３との間に介在させ、下板３をシリンダーボ
ア部ａにおいて折り返して縁どり部材４と威し、該縁ど
り部材４内に断面Ｕ字形の補強環５で挾持したアスベス
ト６を充填して構成する。
なお、アスベスト６の代りにグラスファイバーを用いて
も良く、要は、耐熱性かつ弾力性ある非金属材であれば
本考案の目的を達成できるのである。
本考案は、前記の通りの構成であるから、従来の金属積
層形ガスケットの均一な締付は面圧の確保の難かしさを
除去でき、しかも、これを断面Ｕ字形の補強環によって
挾持させであるから、縁どり部材の亀裂、へこみ等の変
形等のない耐久的なガスケットを提供でき、この利点に
よって縁どり部材自体を薄板で構成できるから製作コス
トを低°減できる。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. シリンダーボア部にグロメット等の縁どり部材を設けた
    内燃機関用金属積層形ガスケットにおいて、前記縁どり
    部材内に断面Ｕ字形の補強環で挾持したアスベスト等の
    耐熱性有る非金属性クッション材を充填した構造。
