Claims (3)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. （１）互いに対向配置された絶縁基板と、前記絶縁基板
    の対向面上に形成された電極と、前記両組縁基板間に封
    入された液晶とからなる液晶セルの一方の外面側にバッ
    クライト手段を備える液晶表示装置において、 前記バックライト手段として、前記液晶セルの一方の面
    と概略平行に配され、前記一方の面に対向する光放出用
    切口が斜め形状に形成され、一端から受けた光を前記一
    方の外面に向けて放出する硝子ファイバを多層に設けた
    ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
  2. （２）前記硝子ファイバの各々は、その放出光の方゛向
    が均一になるように、前記切口が同一に形成されている
    ことを特徴とする実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項記載の
    液晶表示装置。
  3. （３）前記多層の硝子ファイバは、全体として放出光の
    方向が広がるように、予め定めた異なる切口のものが規
    則的に存在していることを特徴とする実用新案登録請求
    の範囲第１項記載の液晶表示装置。
