DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a watch case, which has a rectangular partition when viewed from above, and further has glass bonded to a step provided at the top of the partition.

Many watch cases are manufactured and sold in which the partition is rectangular and glass is fixed by adhesive to a step provided at the top of the partition.

In particular, most watches designed primarily for fashion without requiring waterproofness employ a structure in which glass is bonded.

The reason for this is that the glass can be freely mounted on the barrel using less space and regardless of the external profile of the glass.

しかしながら、接着は他の面に於いて、問題がある。However, adhesion is problematic in other respects.

Once this issue is resolved, adhesive structures will be used more frequently in fashion-oriented watches.

However, in recent years, movements have become thinner with advances in electronic technology, and their thickness has fallen below 3 mm.

In response to this trend towards thinner watches, watch cases have also been forced to become thinner.

Under these circumstances, the above-mentioned structure in which the glass is bonded to the watch body has been causing serious problems.

That is, as the entire watch case becomes thinner and as a result, the watch case becomes thinner, a problem arises in that the main component of the watch case, the body, becomes weak in strength and easily deforms.

特に、ガラスを胴に接着した場合、胴の変形によりガラ

In particular, when glass is bonded to the body, deformation of the body causes a misalignment between the glass and the body, causing the glass to separate.

そして、この胴の変形を観察してみると、第1図に示す

When observing the deformation of this case, it was found that the second part of the watch case had a round parting part as shown in Figure 1.
The deformation of a watch case having a rectangular cutout as shown in the figure is more pronounced.

Furthermore, in the case of a rectangular watch case as shown in Figure 2, the short side is stronger than the long side, and the A-B line is stronger than the B-B line.
-The watch case is easily deformed into two folds around the A line, and there is a directionality in mechanical weakness.

Therefore, the present invention was devised as a result of considering the above-mentioned points, and in a watch case where a rectangular glass is glued to a step of a watch body whose parting part is rectangular in plane, the long side of the rectangular glass is attached to the step. The glass is formed to be slightly larger than the inner wall, the short side of the glass is formed to be slightly smaller than the inner wall of the step, and the long side of the glass is press-fitted into the step of the body.
Since the long side of the glass is adhesively bonded to the step part of the body and is press-fitted, the glass prevents the body from deforming, and the glass itself does not shift due to deformation with the body, maintaining adhesive strength for a long time. It is something that can be done.

以下、本考案の実施例を図面により説明する。Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

When viewed from above, the body 2 has a substantially rectangular parting part 2a, and a step part 2b having a planar shape substantially similar to the parting part 2a is provided above this parting part.

The inorganic glass 1 is disposed on the stepped portion 2b of the body 2, and its planar shape almost matches that of the stepped portion 2b of the body, but the short side 1a of the glass is closer to the inner wall 2c of the stepped portion 2b. It is formed slightly smaller and larger than the inner wall 2c of the long side portion 1b, and is press-fitted to the inner wall 2C of the body.

Further, the glass 1 is fixed to the stepped portion 2b of the body 2 with an adhesive 4.

First, the adhesive 4 is applied to the stepped portion 2b of the body 2, and in this state, the glass 1 is pushed into the stepped portion 2b of the body 2 from above.

Since the long side portion 1b of the glass 1 is only slightly larger than the inner wall 2C of the stepped portion 2b, the glass 1 is press-fitted into the inner wall 2c of the stepped portion 2b by applying a slight force.

As mentioned above, in the present invention, the long side of the glass is press-fitted into the inner wall of the stepped part of the body, and the glass and the stepped part are bonded together, so that the glass is securely fixed to the body and the glass resists deformation. This solves the problem of making the entire case thinner.

Further, since the glass and the body are press-fitted only at the long side portions, the work of enlarging the glass can be carried out very easily.
