Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit a ship to come along a pier safely by a method wherein a rectangular parallelepiped fender, having a vertical surface at the side thereof, is provided elevatable at a half-submerged ship side. CONSTITUTION:The fender is supported by a superstructure 1 through a column 5 provided uprightly on a submerged body 4. The rectangular parallelepiped fender 7, formed with a vertical surface at the side thereof, is eqiupped at the half-submerged ship side so as to be elevatable by driving mechanisms 8-10. According to this method, especially the submerged body 4 may be prevented from contacting directly with the pier upon comming along the pier and smooth mooring may be effected even when the hull is moved up-and-down due to the change of the loading conditions of cargo.

Conventionally, in a semi-submersible catamaran, the upper structure 1 of the hull is supported via a column 5 to a lower floater 4, as shown in the front view of FIG. In order to prevent the hull from coming alongside the hull when coming alongside, the fender (1), which is stored on the upper transverse structure 1 as shown by the solid line, is attached to the interface W as shown by the broken line 2". ” and installed between the hull and quay 3.

However, in the case of a large ship, the fender 2 becomes large and the quay 3 is low, so when the ship floats up, the fender 2 becomes large.
2 may run aground on the quay 3 and the hull may come into contact with the quay 3 and be damaged.

Further, there is a problem in that a refueling ship, tugboat, etc. enters four parts of the column 5 on the ship side, and the fender 2 is shaken by the ups and downs of waves, causing the refueling ship, tugboat, etc. to come into contact with the ship's hull and be damaged.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned conventional problems and allows a ship that does not have a continuous vertical surface on its side shell surface to safely berth and berth when berthing to a quay or when coming alongside other small vessels. The purpose is to ensure that the process is carried out smoothly.

In order to achieve the above object, the mooring fender of the present invention provides a fender for mooring on the side of a ship where a continuous vertical fence is not located in the center of the outer skin surface of the ship, or in a certain range before and after the center. A rectangular rectangular or molded fender with (2) planes perpendicular to .

The side surface of the fender 7 is formed into a flat surface (3), and its upper part is formed so that it can be stored in the support frame 6, and its lower part is formed so that it can come into contact with the upper end of the lower floater 4. The fender 7 is raised and lowered by a wire 8, a pulley 9, and a pulling bar 10.

That is, while the boat is moving, the fender 7 is pulled up and stored in the support frame 6 to avoid water resistance while the boat is moored, while the fender 7 is pulled down while the boat is moored.
Its vertical plane is flush with the top of the hull or the maximum width of the lower floater 4, so that when it comes alongside the quay,
Even if the ship moves up and down due to changes in the ship's loading status,
We are making sure that we can come alongside smoothly.

In addition, refueling ships and small ships at the ends of the ships can come alongside smoothly without having to crawl under the hull.

(4) Therefore, when a ship employs the forming fender of the present invention, it can withstand vertical movements of the ship body that change depending on waves and tides or the loading condition of the ship when coming alongside. It has the advantage of being able to come alongside the quay as smoothly and safely as in the same way.
