    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. （１）磁気テープを巻取るリール等の回転体の回転を検
    出する回転検出装置において、外周部に複数の凸部を有
    し、前記回転体にこのリールに同期して回転するように
    取付けた回転部材と、この回転部材に近接して配置され
    、回転する回転部材の外周部に照射した光を受光してパ
    ルス状電気信号に変換するホトカプラとを具備したこと
    を特徴とする回転検出装置。
  2. （２）前記回転部材の外周部に設けられる凸部を左右非
    対称形とし、且つ、この凸部の上面の周方向距離と凸部
    と凸部を隔てる距離とを異なるものとし、前記回転体の
    回転方向に対応して前記ホトカプラより発生する異なる
    パルス列形状から、前記回転部材の回転方向を認識する
    手段とを有した実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項記載の回
    転検出装置。
