Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence of a power transfer loss and to effectively utilize the driving power of a drive source, by a method wherein drive sources are mounted to their respective conveyance rollers. CONSTITUTION:With first and second motors simultaneously run, first and second rollers 14 and 15 are rotated independently from each other and freely in disregard of a difference in the number of revolutions. A paper fed out from a paper feeder is fed in a nip part between the convey roller 14 and a pinch roller 6 to exert a conveyance force thereon. The first and the second motor take the form of a d.c. commutator motor, and this causes the forces exerted on the first and the second motor through the medium of the paper to be balanced with each other, or causes either the convey rollers 14 or 15 to slip on the paper if the paper eats into a nip part between the convey rollers 14 or 15 and the pinch roller 6 or a second pinch roller 7, respectively.
