Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the prevention of cross modulation disturbance at a large input by mounting directly a broad band high frequency amplifier to a tuner and providing a switch terminal switching a DC voltage applied to the said amplifier. CONSTITUTION:The broad band high frequency amplifer circuit 2 amplifying an input signal from an antenna 1 is constituted on the same board of a tuner 9 and mounted directly. A signal from the antenna 1 is fed to a base of a transistor (TR) Q1 via an input matching circuit 10 while the circuit 2 is matched for the impedance by a balun L1. DC voltage supply terminals A, B are short-circuited by a switch SW at normal operation, a DC voltage divided by resistors R2, R3 is fed to a base of the TRQ1 and the input signal is amplified and fed to an input tuning circuit 12 and a high frequency amplifier circuit 13. The TRQ1 is turned off by turning off the SW at a large input so as to attenuate the input signal via a negative feedback resistor R1 and a capacitor C1 and the result is fed to the circuits 12, 13. Thus, the cross modulation disturbance is eliminated.

Configuration of the conventional example and its problems To explain the conventional example shown in FIG. 1, the signal induced in the antenna 1 is amplified by the broadband high frequency amplification circuit 2 and then sent to the tuner 7 through the coaxial cable 8 and the video intermediate frequency amplification circuit. 6. The tuner 7 is a high frequency amplifier circuit 3. The mixing circuit 41 is composed of a local oscillation circuit and others. Here, the high frequency amplification circuit 3 is a circuit that amplifies only the signal of the desired reception channel and has a certain band, and the mixing circuit 4 converts both the video and audio carrier waves amplified by the high frequency amplification circuit 3 to an intermediate frequency. The local oscillation circuit 5 is a circuit that supplies a signal for frequency conversion to the mixing circuit 4.

In general, a broadband high-frequency amplifier circuit 2 for the purpose of improving sensitivity and S/N is connected to the tuner 7 via a coaxial cable 8 that is configured separately from the tuner unit 7. High frequency amplifier circuit 2
When looking at the characteristics of , it is inferior to the characteristics of alone. Further, since the signal induced in the antenna 1 is amplified by the wideband high frequency amplifier circuit 2, cross-modulation interference occurs when a large input is applied.

Structure of the Invention In the present invention, a broadband high-frequency amplifier circuit is configured on the same board as the tuner to improve sensitivity and noise figure. A terminal for a switch is provided for this purpose. As a result, at the time of a large input, the DC voltage of the broadband high-frequency amplifier circuit is turned off and the circuit functions as an attenuator, thereby eliminating cross-modulation interference.

The basic circuit configuration in FIG. 2 is the same as that in FIG. 1. The difference from FIG. 1 is that the wideband high-frequency amplification circuit 2 is configured and directly mounted on the same board of the tuner 9, and the coaxial cable between the wideband high-frequency amplification circuit 2 and the high-frequency amplification circuit 3 is removed. Furthermore, a switch SW for turning on/off the power to the high frequency amplifier circuit 3 is provided.

Figure 3 shows an example of a broadband high frequency amplifier circuit. The signal induced in the antenna is impedance matched by the balun L1, and is supplied to the base of the transistor Q1 via the input matching circuit 1o. During normal operation, terminals A and B are short-circuited, and the -B voltage is divided by resistors Ri and R3 and applied to the base of transistor Q1, so transistor Q7 is conductive and the output amplified by, for example, 20 dB is output matched.
