  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 カラー原稿を定方向へ走査する原稿走査手段と、 固体撮像素子と、 上記原稿走査手段により、定方向へ走査されるカラー原
    稿を、走査部において照明する照明光学系と、 この照明光学系により照明されたカラー原稿の、読取部
    の像を、上記固体撮像素子の受光部上に結像する結像光
    学系と、 この結像光学系の光路中に設けられ、上記結像光学系に
    よる結像光束を、３原色の各色に、順次色分解するため
    の、色分解光学系と、 この色分解光学系を駆動する駆動機構とを有し、 上記色分解光学系は、正昭角柱状（Ｎ：整数）であって
    、周面に関する回転対称軸を回転軸として回転可能であ
    り、回転軸に直交する方向へ透過する光に対し、ｉ番目
    の短冊状周面部分と、Ｎ これに対向する（２＋１）番目の周面部分との対が、３
    原色の１色を透過させるフィルター機能を有し、上記回
    転軸のまわりに回転することにより、透過光が順次３原
    色の各色に色分解されるように構成され、 上記駆動機構は、上記色分解光学系を回転駆動する回転
    駆動機構であることを特徴とする、カラー原稿読取装置
