Abstract

PURPOSE:To read display contents through a reader and shorten the convergence time of the display contents and improve the accuracy by displaying visible information corresponding to respective digits of numeral information selectively in respective small display areas of a display window. CONSTITUTION:Bar code displays 101-110 are printed as one unit on the circumferences of five display rings 1-5 at intervals of 36 deg.. This device is stored in an instrument housing which allows bar code displays to be viewed through a display window 10. A measuring instrument which generates rotating force according to power or gas consumption is arranged in the instrument housing so that the display ring 1 is rotated, and bar code displays of five digits appearing in the display window 10 indicate integral power or gas consumption. The bar code displays appearing in the display window 10 are read by a portable bar code reader.
