This is because it is known that the electrical properties of activated carbon (for example, its electrical resistivity is very low and its potential is nobler than that of iron) make the solution being purified even more corrosive. . Therefore, anti-corrosion treatment such as painting or resin lining has been conventionally carried out to protect the metal inner surfaces and attached parts from such highly corrosive liquids, but since the coating deteriorates rapidly, it is not enough. At present, it is not possible to expect a significant anti-corrosion effect.

I couldn't. On the other hand, in recent years, as industries have become larger and the required standards of products have increased, it has become necessary to remove COD and 80D or decolorize them in large quantities using activated carbon adsorbents. The bottleneck in such adsorption treatment is that the adsorption layer is clogged by suspended solids contained in the raw solution.

気防食方法である。That is, the gist of the present invention is to provide an adsorption device that uses activated carbon to remove impurities in an electrolyte solution, in which granular activated carbon is suspended in the solution and a current flows out to an extent that the activated carbon particles cannot pass through. A linear insoluble anode, which is covered with a fibrous insulating protective material with holes and surrounded by a synthetic resin protective pipe with an opening for current flow on the outside, faces the inner surface of the metal processing tank. This is a method for cathodic protection of a floating activated carbon adsorption device, characterized in that the anode is installed as a positive electrode, and the treatment tank is used as a negative electrode and is energized.

It is surrounded by a protective pipe 6 made of resin. An electrode 7 is inserted into the space between the protective material 4 and the pipe 6, and is electrically connected and fixed to the anode 3 at an appropriate position to reduce the voltage drop at the anode. This electric wire 7 is taken out from the upper part of the processing tank and connected to the positive electrode side of the DC output of a DC power supply for cathodic protection (not shown), and the negative electrode side is connected to the processing tank by an electric wire.
Untreated liquid (seawater) is introduced from the intake port 8 at the bottom of the treatment tank, and is allowed to overflow from the top outlet 9.

The noise level was extremely high, confirming that the inside of a seawater treatment tank that uses activated carbon is a highly corrosive environment.

濁固型物等による詰まり問題はなくなった。The reason for this is thought to be that the floating environment in the present invention is a kind of stagnant environment compared to the state of steel in general seawater, so the progress of cathode polarization is not affected much by flow rate, oxygen, etc. As explained above, according to the method of the present invention, it is possible to apply cathodic protection against corrosion of the inner surface of a treatment tank in an activated carbon adsorption device for treating an electrolyte solution, and also to suspend activated carbon. This eliminates the problem of clogging caused by suspended solids.
