    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 文字板の上部前方に開口部を設け、該開口部の上部に一
    端を有するプリズムを設け、該プリズムの他端側に設け
    た光源から発する光をプリズムにより屈折・反射して、
    開口部から文字板を照明するようにした自動車用メータ
    の照明装置において、前記開口部に所定角度に設定され
    た多数の不透明平行柱状材からなる光偏光部材を嵌設す
    ることにより、前記文字板にのみ光を照射するように構
    成したことを特徴とする自動車用メータの照明装置。
