  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 外周に間隔をあけて縦溝を有する縦長のス
    ペーサと前記スペーサの縦溝内にそれぞれ収納さ
    れた複数の光フアイバー芯線と前記スペーサの外
    周に設けられたシースとから成る２つの光フアイ
    バーユニツトの前記光フアイバー芯線を相互に接
    続する透明スプライサと前記透明スプライサとそ
    の前後の露出する光フアイバー芯線を包囲して前
    記光ケーブルユニツトのシースに跨つて設けられ
    た接続管とから成る光ケーブルユニツトの接続部
    において、前記接続管は透明プラスチツクパイプ
    から成り、且つ前記透明プラスチツクパイプの外
    周または内周に前記透明スプライサが透視するこ
    とができるように保護部材が設けられていること
    を特徴とする光ケーブルユニツトの接続部。 (2) 前記保護部材は前記透明プラスチツクパイ
    プの上に螺旋巻きされた金属ストリツプから成つ
    ている実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項に記載の光
