This control uses the pressure of a spring (not shown) in the regulator, so even if the air pressure drops, such as when going to high altitudes or when the air density drops due to other natural phenomena, the fuel pressure will not change. It is controlled to be constant, and the air weight to fuel weight ratio (air-fuel ratio) becomes small and the fuel becomes rich. For this reason, there is a drawback that the operation of the engine that operates in response to fuel supply becomes unstable. In addition, as a countermeasure to this, the air pressure is detected using a type of sensor that converts into an electrical quantity, such as a resistance type, inductance type, electromagnetic induction type, piezoelectric type, etc., and the injection time of the injector is adjusted according to this air pressure. If this method were adopted, not only would the sensor become expensive, but the system would also have the disadvantage of significantly increasing costs.

This idea was made in order to eliminate the drawbacks of the conventional ones as mentioned above, and by adding a chamber to the fuel pressure regulator that can directly change the fuel pressure with atmospheric pressure, it is possible to create a fuel pressure regulator with pressure correction that is inexpensive, small and lightweight. The purpose is to provide a regulator.

FIG. 2 shows an embodiment based on this principle. 1 is a diaphragm that receives atmospheric pressure; 5 is a small diaphragm that is pressed by a force bar 2 that transmits the pressure received by the diaphragm 1 to an actuator 4 via a fulcrum 3; and 6 is a small diaphragm that is pressurized by a fuel pump (not shown). 7 is an inlet port through which fuel flows in; 7 is an outlet port through which fuel controlled to a constant fuel pressure flows out;
8 is a fuel return port for discharging fuel when controlling the fuel pressure from the outlet port 7, and 9 is a passage to the return port 8 that is connected to the pressure from the small diaphragm 5, the elasticity of the spring 11, and the inlet port. This valve opens and closes in correlation with the fuel pressure from the port 6, and is held by a valve support 12 and pressed upward in the figure by a steel ball 10. In FIG. 2, reference numeral 13 constitutes a metal diaphragm having the same function as the diaphragm 1 in FIG. The chamber 13 is moved up and down to adjust the load transmitted to the valve support 12 via the force bar 2.

Next, the operation will be explained. Fuel pressurized by a fuel pump (not shown) enters the fuel chamber 16 from the inlet port 6, and the pressure of this fuel, that is, the fuel pressure, is balanced with the pressure transmitted from the chamber 13 to the small diaphragm 5 via the force bar 2. By opening and closing the valve 9, the fuel pressure is controlled to a constant value, and the fuel pressure flowing out from the outlet port 7 is determined. At this time, chamber 1 that generates the equilibrium force
Pressure from 3 is applied to chamber 13 through hole 15.
It is determined by the atmospheric pressure since the surrounding area is open to the atmosphere. Here, we will consider the case where atmospheric pressure is constant. In this case, the pressure pushing the fuel chamber 16 from the force bar 2 through the small diaphragm 5 is P A Kg/cm 3 . By the way, when a change in fuel pressure (for example, P F Kg/cm 2 ) that tends to exceed the set pressure (for example, 2.5 Kg/cm 3 ) occurs in the fuel chamber 16, the small diaphragm 5 acts against the force from the force bar 2 due to the fuel pressure. As the frequency of opening and closing increases, more fuel is returned to the fuel tank (not shown) through the return port 8, and in this way, the control pressure is controlled to the set pressure.

即ち、PF−PA=2.5Kg/cm2に制御される。

That is, it is controlled to P F −P A =2.5 Kg/cm 2 .
Furthermore, in response to a change in fuel pressure that lowers the set pressure, the frequency with which the small diaphragm 5 is pushed down by the fuel pressure decreases, and the amount of returned fuel decreases.

Next, when the pressure of fuel pressurized by a fuel pump (not shown) and flowing from the inlet port 6 is constant, for example, when the atmospheric pressure is low, the chamber 13 swells; Since the upward displacement is reversed by the fulcrum 3 and the force bar 2, the pressure pressing the valve support 12 through the force bar 2 becomes weaker. Therefore, the small diaphragm 5 is pushed down by the fuel pressure in the fuel chamber 16, the amount of fuel returned from the return port 8 increases, and the set fuel pressure decreases. Also, when the atmospheric pressure rises, the opposite operation is performed. Note that by turning the adjustment screw 14, the height of the chamber 14 can be changed, so that the fuel pressure is initially set so as to satisfy the set range.

In the above embodiment, the force of the chamber 13 is directly utilized, but the same effect can be obtained even if a leaf spring is disposed between the chamber 13 and the force bar 2 and the chamber 13 is pulled up beforehand.

As described above, according to this invention, the pressure chamber includes a chamber that expands and contracts according to changes in outside air pressure, and a force bar that reverses the displacement direction of this chamber via a fulcrum to change the fuel pressure setting value of the diaphragm. With this provision, it is possible to obtain a fuel pressure regulator that is corrected based on atmospheric pressure, which is small, lightweight, and inexpensive, and also has improved reliability.
