Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a decorative sheet having a brightly produced latent pattern, by applying thermoplastic synthetic resin compositions having different colors and/or presence of a foaming agent in a pattern to a sheetlike material, and removing physically the film surface of the above-mentioned resin compositions. CONSTITUTION:A decorative sheet obtained by applying thermoplastic synthetic resin compositions, having different colors and/or amount and presence of a foaming agent, and consisting essentially of polyvinyl chloride, etc. to a sheetlike material, e.g. paper or woven or knitted fabric, in the form of a pattern by the screen coating method, expanding the resultant sheet under heating to give a foam sheet consisting of the above-mentioned compositions having different colors and/or expansion densities, and removing the surface of the composition films by a means of slicing or buffing, etc., to produce brightly the latent pattern. The pattern obtained by the above-mentioned method is very clear without disappearing even by abrasion.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a decorative sheet, and more particularly to a decorative sheet in which a pattern is revealed by removing at least a portion of the surface by physical means such as cutting or slicing. BACKGROUND ART Suede-like sheets have conventionally been produced by removing the surface of a porous thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet by a method such as nodding or slicing to reveal a porous layer, and are used for clothing, binding, and interior rings. The suede-like sheet is flexible and has a good feel, making it indispensable for the above-mentioned uses, but because it is monochromatic or has uniform pores, it is monotonous and lacks attractiveness. As a means to overcome the above-mentioned drawbacks, it is possible and actually practiced to pattern the surface using gravure, a screen, etc. However, when printing on a porous material, it is difficult for printing ink to be applied due to the surface characteristics of the porous material, and the interface between colors becomes unclear, resulting in a blurred pattern. In addition, the printing ink penetrates, resulting in a hard texture and poor flexibility and texture. To avoid hardening of the texture, one option is to use a more flexible printing ink vehicle, but this leaves a sticky surface. There are also other problems, such as the printing ink being worn away during use and the pattern disappearing.

As a result of intensive research in order to achieve the above object, the inventors of the present invention discovered that thermoplastic synthetic resin compositions with different colors and/or foaming densities are hidden in a pattern inside a sheet material in advance. discovered that when the surface was removed by physical means, a very clear pattern appeared at the interface, which led to the completion of the present invention. That is, the present invention provides a decorative sheet in which at least a portion of the surface is physically removed to reveal a latent pattern, and the thermoplastic synthetic resin composition portion in which the pattern differs in color and/or foam density. This is a decorative sheet specially designed to be made up of In the present invention, non-foamed compositions are also included in the thermoplastic synthetic resin compositions having different foam densities.

The decorative sheet of the present invention is usually one in which a pattern made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin composition is provided on a base material such as paper, textile, nonwoven fabric, film, etc., but the pattern is created by removing at least a part of the surface. After being taken out, the base material may be removed by slicing or the like.
