Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent actuating sound upon deenergization of a relay from giving a sense of uneasy to a passenger, by providing such an arrangement that a wiper motor carries out a unit operation to turn off a the relay until the wiper returns to its rest position, to make the cycle period of the wiper equal to that of the relay. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition switch 2 and an intermittent switch 6 are turned on, a voltage comparator 19 issue a low level signal to turn on a relay 7. Thereby, a wiper motor 4 is initiated to rotate, and a switch 5 changes over from 5a into 5b. When a capacitor 18 is charged and therefore, an inverted input of a comparator 19 becomes lower than a predetermined voltage, the comparator 19 issues an H-level signal. However, since the switch 5 is positioned at its contact 5b, the relay 7 persists in turning on. When the wiper motor reaches the rest position thereof, the switch 5 is changed over to 5a to turn off the relay 7 to stop the motor 4. Therefore, the relay 7 opens and closes its contacts in synchronizm with the rotational speed of the motor 4 so that there are no problems of actuating sound.

(Prior art) Conventionally, in this type of device, the on time of the motor drive relay and the time from motor rotation to stop do not match, so even though the motor is rotating, the relay is activated first. It was turned off and kept energized by a closed circuit created by the one-stop position detection switch and the off contact of the relay.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The operating noise generated when the relay is de-energized before the motor stops is annoying. For this reason, the present invention turns off the relay until the wiper motor returns to the stop position after a unit operation, and makes the wiper cycle and relay cycle the same.
This is to prevent the driver from feeling unstable.

(Means for Solving the Problem) For this reason, the present invention does not use the stop position switch as a closed circuit for maintaining energization, but instead operates a holding means to maintain energization to the wiper drive motor. It is characterized by being used.

In the wiper control device configured as described above, when the ignition switch 2 is turned on and the intermittent switch 6 is turned on, the input of the voltage comparator 19 is fixed at the voltage determined by the resistors 14, 15, and 16. The other input is a resistor 14.1 since the capacitor is in a discharge state for one day.
5.16. Therefore, a voltage comparison 'a19 and a low level signal are outputted to turn on the relay 7, whereby the wiper motor 4 is energized and begins to rotate, and the switch 5 is connected from 5a to 5b.

Eventually, when the wiper motor 4 reaches the stop position, the switch 5 is connected from the contacts 5b to 5a, so the relay 7 is turned off and the wiper motor 4 is stopped. Since the voltage is higher than the voltage determined by , when the voltage reaches the level, the voltage comparator 19 outputs a low level signal and turns on the relay again. Thus, the wiper operates intermittently.

Now, when the intermittent switch 6 is turned on while the switch 2 is turned on, the flip-flop 21 is turned on by the high-level pulse of the periodic pulse generation circuit 20, and the relay 7
is energized and closes the contacts, keeping the motor 4 energized. As the motor 4 rotates, the stop position switch 5 switches from the contact 5a to 5b, and after the wiper blade has rotated once, when the stop position switch 5 contacts the contact 5a again, a signal is generated to reset the flip-flop 21. . This opens the energizing circuit between the relay 7 and the motor 4, and stops the wiping action of the wiper blade.

The above operation is repeated, and the motor 4 is operated and rotated only during the cent period of the flip-flop 21. In this way, the relay 7 opens and closes its contacts in synchronization with the rotation of the motor 5, and there is no problem with who operates the contacts.

In the embodiment described above, the relay 7 has the advantage that when deenergized, its contacts close both ends of the motor 4 to exert a dynamic braking effect. Further, the stop position switch 5 may be a conventionally common cam switch, or a magnetic reed switch ink tab or the like may be used.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, the present invention synchronizes the point at which the relay is turned off with the stop of rotation of the motor, so that the relay is operated in synchronization with the operation of the motor and, therefore, the wiper plate. Does not cause anxiety regarding operating noise
