Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a pattern from discoloring and decoloring afterward by incorporating a during agent, pigment and thixotropic agent into an epoxy resin and curing the resin by heating after vacuum defoaming. CONSTITUTION:A paint is prepd. by using the epoxy resin as an essential component and kneading the curing agent and pigment therewith. The paint for forming a decorative sheet 8a is coated at suitable intervals on a frame, then the paint contg. the different pigment and having another color is coated thereon to form a decorative sheet 8b. The paint of a decorative sheet 8c is coated to the remaining space. The paint is vacuum-defoamed to have the smooth and level surface and is then cured by heating to about 50-80 deg.C. The thixotropic agent which acts to prevent sagging and an additive which acts to prevent the sepn. of the colors are slightly added to the paint. For example, a thixotropic agent is used as the thixotropic agent and the additive, etc. are used as the additive. The discoloration and decoloration of the pattern are thus obviated.

(Prior Art) Eyeglass frames are not only required to be functional, but also have a strong design orientation and are decorated with a wide variety of decorations. Taking the metal frames that have become the mainstream of eyeglass frames in recent years as an example, materials that are lightweight, have high tensile strength, and have spring characteristics are not only required for their mechanical properties, but also for the design of the frame. Height is also desired.

Furthermore, in addition to the designs created by using such metal frames and devising the shape, there are also designs in which a part or the entire area of the frame is painted to give it a colorful color.
On the other hand, there is also one in which a decorative board is attached, which is formed by providing four parts in a part of the frame, and applying a paint made of epoxy resin as a main component, kneaded with a hardening agent, pigment, metal particles, etc. to the recessed parts, and then curing the paint. It is used. The decorative board exhibits a kind of pattern due to the metal particles mixed in the paint, but at first glance it appears to be a single color of pigment, and the plating and painting are also decorations of a single color. Of course, it is possible to apply not only a single color decoration but also various patterns using transfer, but this transfer method involves applying paint to the eyeglass frame, curing it, and then applying the patterned film to a hardened decorative board. 100' (7~15
The pattern of the film is transferred onto the surface of the decorative board by heating it to 0°C.

However, this type of transfer is processed under high heat, so if the frame is made of heat-sensitive parts such as celluloid, or if it is plated, the transfer will not be possible as the color will change due to high heat. The pattern formed by this method is sensitive to ultraviolet rays, resulting in discoloration and fading of the pattern over time.

(Problems to be Solved by the Present Invention) As described above, when forming patterns on eyeglass frames, there is a transfer method, but as mentioned above, it requires high-temperature heat treatment, and some of the patterns are made of heat-resistant materials. There is a problem with frames made of or plated, and the transferred pattern itself also has the problem of being sensitive to ultraviolet rays.

(Means for Solving the Problems) Therefore, the decorative body according to the present invention uses a paint containing an epoxy resin as a main component, a curing agent, and a pigment, and after vacuum defoaming the air contained inside, Apply it here and there,
Apply a paint with a different color using different pigments to another location, then repeat the application of the paint of the desired color, and finally level the surface smoothly and compare at about 50°C to 80°C. Cure by heating to a low temperature. However, it is impossible to apply the above-mentioned paint that has been conventionally used on the outer surface of eyeglass frames, which are made of thin wires, as is, and the applied paint will smudge, causing different colors to be applied to the outer surface of eyeglass frames. Paints applied in this manner flow into each other across boundaries, making it impossible to uniformize and form a predetermined pattern.

The present invention is designed to prevent the fluid paint from sagging even when applied to the outer surface of the front frame or part of the temples, and to prevent the fluid paint from flowing into each other across the boundaries and interfering with the formation of patterns. A small amount of thixotropic agent, which acts to prevent sag, and an additive, which acts to prevent color separation, are added. For example, the thixotropic agent may be a thixotropic agent, the additive may be an additive, etc., and the area on the eyeglass frame where the amount of the thixotropic agent is to be applied, that is, a flat plate, Adjustment is made depending on whether the wire is thin or not, and if the wire is prone to sag, a somewhat larger amount of thixotropic agent is added.
