Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明はケーシングにより包まれた吸収体を含むおむつ
、失禁帯または月経帯などの吸収物品に関する。
先行技術の身体順応型おむつの例は使用者の股にあてる
ため幅の狭い中心部分を形成するため折りたたまれ、ま
た下腹部を取囲む幅広い端部分を有する所謂翼桁り重ね
おむつである。しかし、折り重ねおむつには脚の周りに
十分に密着させることの困難、折り目が使用者の身体の
動きで折り目場所を間違えられて、不本意に形成される
しわに沿って液がおむつから横へ流れ出す傾向など若干
の欠点がある。
従来屋のおむつはつづみ形にデザインされたおむつであ
る。これらおむつについての問題点はおむっの股部分に
おける吸収材料の不足であって吸収材料は従っておむつ
の使用中に幅の狭い中心部分で分解する。おむつの中の
吸収材料は適切番こ利用されないのでその結果、液が狭
い、中間部分に集まり、液はおむつの長さに沿って広が
らずに股部分に液の浸透があると横に漏れることになる
。
使用者の脚の周りにぴったり合うための弾性装置の取付
けによって液の漏出を除去しようとする試みがおこなわ
れてきた。米国特許第３８６０００３号には弾性リボン
を備えたおむつが開示されている。吸収体はつづみ形を
していて、この米国特許のおむつの特徴は可撓性の側フ
ラツプを股部分に配置したことで、その弾性リボンは吸
収体の両側縁から少なくとも１９闘の距離を設けて側フ
ラツプに固着されている。
この米国特許によれば、この距離が大切である。
この最低距離を確保することによって、「半硬質」の吸
収コアは脚の通常の運動時に股部分にセいて横に変位で
きると言われ、この場合、側フラツプの縁にある弾性装
置は吸収体によって使用者の脚の周りの密封状態から引
き離されることがない。この米国特許の場合、公知のつ
づみ形おむつと比べて漏れは少なくなってはいるが、な
お尿が可撓性フラップの下に溜って、柔かい股部分、特
に弾性装置が素肌と摩擦嬌触状態にある場所では、皮膚
刺激をおこすおそれが大きい。
この米国特許における「半硬質」という言葉は正確では
ない。この提案されているような種類の吸収体はむしろ
事実上硬質性がないか、あるいは殆ど取るに足らない程
度の本来の硬直性しかない物体と考えることができよう
。しかし吸収コアの厚さによってコアは薄いプラス、チ
ックや同様な薄い不織布層で形成された可撓性フラップ
よりも硬直性を帯びるものである。しかし、それでも吸
収体の固有の硬直性は無視でき、使用者の身体に吸収体
を一致させ、使用者の脚の運動に答えて吸収体を自由に
折り重ねることを可能にする。従って、吸収体の股部分
には望ましくない折り目ができ、尿はこの折り目に沿っ
て横に流れ出すことができる。このような場合、脚周り
の弾性装置は漏れに対して何等の保証もしない。上記米
国特許第３８６０００３号によるおむつに関連した基本
的問題も才た吸収体の狭い股部分が容易に分解し完全に
つぶれる傾向である。
米国特許第４３２６５２８号には、おむつを使用者の身
体に順応させる一方、漏れを回避しようとする別の手段
が提案されている。この米国特許のおむつの股部分は前
記米国特許第３８６０００３号のおむつよりも大量の吸
収材料を含んでいる。米国特許第４３２６５２８号のお
むつは平らなまたは弧状の底辺、即ち、おむつを使って
いる時の最下側部分と例えば印をつけた折り目線など折
り目部分を介して底辺に接続された二つの平らな側面と
を特徴としている。この平らな側面は吸収材料を含み、
米国特許第３８６０００３号のおむつとは違って、側面
も若干の固有の硬直性を備えている。底辺の曲げ抵抗と
ほぼ同じの取るに足らない程度の曲げ抵抗を有する平ら
な側面をデザインすることにより尿が溜まるポケットが
得られる。このようにして比較的身に合ったおむつが得
られるが、この場合の欠点は使用者の股部から垂下する
何ともぎこちない「袋」ができることである。さらに、
上記吸収材料が本当の硬直性を持たず、使用者が、すわ
った時に処置なく折り目がつき、そのため使用者がすわ
っている時に股部分与こできる不本意で処置のない折り
目を介して尿が漏れ出すおそれがある。
本発明の場合では、例えば叙上の各形式の先行技術のお
むつに比べ機能的に優れたおむつが達成される。
本発明の使い捨ておむつは吸収体が使用者に接触して用
いられ、全然曲げ抵抗がないか、あってもごく僅かしか
なく、柔軟で、１３ｃｄ／ｆ以上の容積を持つ第１層と
、この第１層より幅が狭く、使用者の股に順応する幅を
有し、Ｌｅｊ／ｆ以下の、好ましくは４から８　ｄ　／
　ｔに及ぶ容積を有する密に圧縮され、そのため通常の
用途において第層に対し寸法安定性を与える高度の曲げ
抵抗を得て、優れた液分配能力を有する第２層とを含む
ことを特徴としている。
密に圧縮された第２層は好ましからざる折り目がおこら
ないような安定性をおむつの股部分に付与する。狭く密
に圧縮された第２層は使用者の股部分内に収まるように
できた幅を有し、従って、この硬直層は吸収体を使用者
の股に対し滑らかな密接状態に維持する。
硬直な第２層の縁部分は吸収体の柔らかな第１層に対す
る折り尺の役目をする。おむつが使用者の下腹部の周り
に緊締されると、例えば米国特許第３８６０００３号お
よび４３２６５２８号の吸収体など在来のセルローズ吸
収体に対する補性基準値を有し第１層のうち第２層に沿
って外側に延びる部分は股部分の第２層の縁において折
り目をつけさせられる。おむつを身体の周りにしつかり
しめつけるのにケーシングが用いられている所謂完全な
使い捨てセむつにおいては、可撓性第１層はおむつをつ
けている時にケーシングに引張られるので第１層は前記
硬直縁において折り目が付けられる。従って、第１層の
うち硬直第２層の外側に延びる縁部分は使用者の脚の周
りに密封的関係に入らしめられる。
幅の狭い密に圧縮された吸収層の今一つの大きな利点は
吸収された液がこの柔らかい吸収層からこの圧縮吸収層
中に吸入されるので柔らかい吸収層のうちこの圧縮吸収
層の外側に横に延びている縁部分はいぜんとして乾燥し
たままであるという事実である。側縁における漏れのお
それはこれにより先行技術のおむつに比べて少なくなる
。
本発明の好ましき実施例によれば、弾性装置はおむつの
中間部分においておむつの縦方向丈たは横方向に取付け
られていて、この弾性装置は硬直層の縁により形成され
た折り目の周りに可撓性第１層の縁部分を折り目をつく
るために利用され、吸収コア、従って、おむつ全体は股
部分に横断面で見てほぼＵ字形みぞを形成している。股
部分において、弾性装置は第１吸収層の縁の内側におい
てのみ作用し、従ってすり傷をおこさない。
本発明のおむつに関連した大きな利点は第２層が９　、
ｊ　／　を以下の容積にまで密に圧縮されるので尿は使
用者に面する第１層から第２層に急速に吸込まれるのみ
ならず湿潤個所から第２層に沿って垂直方向に広がると
いうことで、これは従来のおむつには全く不可能なこと
である。
使用者が立ったり、あるいは坐ったりする時は、おむつ
中の吸収材料の大部分は湿潤個所より上に垂直に位置し
ている。従来のおむつでは吸収材料は毛細管路が液を垂
直方向に吸込むほど圧縮されておらず液は湿潤個所付近
に留ったままであるので吸収材料は十分には活用されな
かった。
以下に本発明を添付の図面に示した実施例を参考にさら
に詳細に説明する。
第１図乃至３図に示すおむつは吸収材とこれを取囲むケ
ーシングよりなる。吸収体は二層の毛羽パルプよりなり
、このうちの第１層１は１３ｃｄ／ｆを超える容積を有
し、これはおむつ内の吸収体の通常の基準であるが、第
２層２は密に圧縮されて９　、ｊ　／　を以下、好まし
くは４から８ｃＪ／ｆの容積を有する。
ケーシングはおむつの表面の液不透性外層３とおむつの
表面の液浸透性外層４とよりなり、これら二つの外層は
吸収体を中心にして結合されている。
第２図および３図に示すごとく、密に圧縮された層２は
使用者の身体に最も近くあてがわれる柔らかい層１に比
べて比較的幅が狭い。硬直層２の幅は使用者の股に順応
する。これは硬直層はその形状が通常の使用応力のもと
では実質的に不変であるような大きな曲げ抵抗を前記の
容積において有するからである。即ち、おむつをつけた
時、吸収体が好ましくないねじれをおこして漏れを招く
ということがない。硬直層２の縁は柔らかい層に対する
折り尺の役目をして、おむつをつけている時には、硬直
層の縁の外側に延びる部分５，６は第４図に従っておむ
つの股部分にＵ字形みぞをつくりながら制御されて折り
目をつくる。
第２層２が非常に密に圧縮されるので、先行技術の吸収
体と比べて優れた液移送保持能力が得られる。強力な圧
縮によって液はおむつの最下側点から垂直方向に移送さ
れるが、これは在来の吸収体には全く不可能なことであ
る。おむつに圧縮された液分配線を設けることは以前か
ら知られているが、こうした流路は十分には圧縮されて
おらず、とりわけその能力は垂直方向の液分配に大きく
は貢献しなかった。
本発明における密に圧縮された硬直層２の液移送保持能
力はおむつをつけている人に向いた側の柔らかい層１が
乾いたままに終る程のものである。今までの公知おむつ
においては、おむつの底部分に集められ、おむつの使用
中に最下側に位置する吸収体の全体部分を急速に湿らせ
てゆくものであるが、おむつの主要部分にある吸収材料
は液の吸収に全熱貢献するところがなかった。第１図乃
至４図のおむつはゴム糸入りベビーパンツを用いて所定
位置に保持されるようにしたものである。
第５図は所謂完全使い捨ておむつである。吸収体を包む
ケーシングは液不透層３と液浸透層４とよりなり、これ
ら二つの層は相互に連結しながら吸収体の外側を横に延
びている。
これらの二つの外層３，４は股部分７からそして後方へ
吸収体の側縁から外側へ徐々に距離を増して延び、実質
的に三角形の側フラツプ８゜９が形成され、これらのフ
ラップにテープのストリップ１０．１１が固定されてい
る。おむつをつけている場合、ケーシングは一種のパン
ツの役目をし、後側フラップ８，９に固着のテープのス
トリップ１０．１１はおむつの前端の外側に取付けられ
る。
吸収体の柔らかい層を符号１で示し、密に圧縮された層
は符号２で示す。第５図に破線で示したこの圧縮層は第
１図乃至４図のおむつの圧縮とほぼ同じ形状を有する。
第５図のおむつはこれを横切って７字パターンに延びる
弾性装置１２を備えている。Ｖ字形パターンはおむつの
前端の中心に配置されている。弾性装置１２は股部分の
後で柔らかい層１の縁を横切っている。柔らかい層はこ
のようにして使用者の股を弾性装置１２がすりむくのを
防止している。この予め伸長した弾性装置を用いて、柔
らかい層１およびケーシングはおむつの股部分において
硬直層２の縁に沿って折り目が形成されてほぼＶ字形み
ぞを形成している。
弾性装置はさらに使用者のふとももの外側で密封体の働
きをする。
第６図は毛羽パルプよりなる在来の柔らかな吸収層１の
ほかに、第１図乃至第５図の圧縮層２と同じデザインの
密に圧縮された層２を有する矩形のおむつを示す。吸収
体は不織布のケーシングに密封されている。矩形おむつ
は使用者に巻付けられたプラスチック裏材と通常組合せ
て使用される。従来の矩形おむつの場合、股部分の吸収
体が好ましくない状態にくるまって、これが漏れをつく
り出すおそれがある。密に圧縮された層２はおむつの股
部分を安定させて不本意なしわの形成をなくすように作
用する。
第７図は矩形おむつの変型実施例を造る前の未完成品を
示す。毛羽パルプよりなるこのおむつ未完成品は三つの
異なる部分１３．１４’、１５を有する。このおむつ未
完成品は毛羽パルプウェブ（図示せず）の横方向に変位
することにより製造される。中心帯１４はおむつの吸収
体ζこ対する通常基準である圧力を有する。吸収体は柔
らかく毛羽だって１：３Ｊ／ｒを超える容積を持ってい
る。
中心帯で折り重ねられるようにした縁区域１３は部分１
７および１８を除いて、別々の縦方向分配線１６に沿っ
て圧縮される。部分１７および１８は円弧状に形成され
ていて、これらの部分では毛羽パルプは中心帯１４にお
けると同様にただかるく圧縮されているに過ぎない。
おむつの吸収体をつくり出すため折り曲げ縁上に折り重
ねられることになっている縁区域１５は部分１９および
２０を除いて９ｃｄ／ｒ以下の容積に密に圧縮されてい
る。部分１９および２゜は円弧状に形成され、これらの
部分では毛羽パルプはかるく圧縮されている。
最終的に折り重ねられた吸収体は不織材料（繊維織物）
のケーシングに密閉されておむつがつくられる。
上記おむつが第８図に示されている。このデザインの利
点は層１５が股部分と両端部分とにおいて圧縮され、こ
れによって運車な安定性、良好な液分配、および小さな
容積をおむつに付与することである。
おむつは柔らかなかるく圧縮された脚の凹陥部２１，２
２を有し、これら凹陥部によっておむつは安全に保持さ
れる。これは密に圧縮された層１５のため縦方向の変位
ができないからである。
密に圧縮された層１５の環状の側面境界はこの部分にお
けるおむつの他の各層に対する折り尺を構成する。
第９図乃至１１図は第１図乃至４図のおむつと同様に弾
性ベビーパンツと一緒に着用するようにしたおむつを示
す。第１図乃至４図のように、このおむつもまたゆるく
圧縮された吸収上層１と、密に圧縮された下層２と、吸
収体を包みおむつの背面シート上に液不透部分３とおむ
つの頂面シート上に液浸透部分４とを有するケーシング
とよりなる。
密な圧縮層２は当該層のどの部分においても９ｃＪ／Ｐ
以下の厚さで、この厚さは圧縮度がこの層の端部分２３
．２４に向って増加するのに応じて減少する。□ 既にかなり密に圧縮された層の端部分をさらに圧縮する
ことによって液分布効果が強化され、その結果、粗い分
布の毛管から細かい分布の毛管へ、即ち低圧縮度から高
圧縮度へ液の移送をおこなう毛管引力の作用でおむつの
股部分における乾燥が増加する。
吸収体に含まれる二つの層はこれを接合する以前に例え
ば水または熱溶融スプレィで相互に、面する側を処理す
ることによって相互に連結できる。これらの二層はまた
圧縮固定（ｃｏｍｐｒｅｓｓｉｏｎｒｅｖｅｔｔｉｎｇ
　）によって、即ち多数の隔離した個所においてこれら
の二層を密に圧縮させることによって、接合してもよく
、こうすることによってこれら二つの層の相対間の摺動
が効果的番こ防止される。
上面の柔い層１は液分布の役目だけをする完全に吸収性
を欠いた多孔性の層とすることができる。この層の主な
機能は従って湿った吸収層２がおむつ着用者の皮膚に直
接接触しないようにするスペーサ層の作用をすることに
ある。層１中には空気の循環ができるので、同時に股部
分における敏感な皮膚ζこ対する通気がさらによくなる
。
この目的に適した非吸収性材料は合成繊維詰の綿、特に
長繊維で、こうして底層からくる水分でおむつの使用者
を再度ぬれさせないようにする液絶縁能力の優れた機械
的に反撥する層が得られる。
第１図乃至４図および９図乃至１１図に示したベビーパ
ンツと組合せて使用するようにした！字形おむつにおい
て、使用中着用者の下腹部に面する前部分はおむつの残
り部分より厚くつくることができ、こうして着用者が動
く時におむつがベビーパンツ内で後へ滑らないようにす
る。
密な圧縮層２の一端または両端部分をさらに圧縮させる
場合には、中心部からこの一端または両端部への密度の
増加を連続させる必要がなく、代わりに層２は端部分の
一方または両方の均等な高圧縮部として配置できる。
本発明はここに記載の実施例に限定されるものではなく
、付属の特許請求の範囲内で多数の変型が可能である。
例えば、おむつは股部分に横弾性装置が設けられて柔ら
かな層をこれより硬い層の縁において折りたたませるこ
とができる。
本発明は使い捨ておむつに関連して説明゛したが、問題
点は失禁帯や月経帯に対しても同じである。こうした製
品には硬直層を設けて、好ましくないねじれを防止する
と共に側方への漏れの恐れを最小にすることが有利であ
る。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １、吸収体が使用者に最も近寄せて用いられ、曲げ抵抗
    がないかまたは僅かな曲げ抵抗しかなく、大きさが１３
    ｃｍ＾３／ｇ以上あつて、柔軟な第１層（１）と、該第
    １層より幅が狭く、使用者の股に順応する幅を有し、９
    ｃｍ＾２／ｇ以下、好ましくは４から８ｃｍ＾３／ｇに
    及ぶ大きさを有する密に圧縮され、このため通常の用途
    において第２層に対し形状安定性を与える高度の曲げ抵
    抗を得て、非常に高い液分配能力を有する第２層とより
    なることを特徴とするセルローズ・パルプより造られた
    吸収体と、これを取り囲むケーシングとを含むおむつ、
    失禁保護帯、または月経帯などの吸収物品。 ２、前記第２層（２）より幅の狭い追加層が第２層の外
    側に用いられるので、吸収体または使用者から遠のく方
    向に外側へ傾斜する横断面が与えられ、上記追加層が下
    側にくる第２層の寸法に等しいか、またはそれより小さ
    い寸法を有することを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第１項
    に記載の吸収物品。 ３、弾性装置（１２）は物品の少なくとも中間部分に物
    品の縦方向または横方向に用いられ、硬直層（２）の縁
    により形成された折り目線を中心に可撓性第１層の縁部
    分（５、６）に折り目をつける役目をし、吸収コア、従
    つておむつの股部分全体がこのようにして断面ほぼＵ字
    形みぞを形成することを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第１
    項または２項に記載の吸収物品。 ４、前記弾性装置（１２）が吸収物品を横切つて一方の
    縁から他方の縁へ延びて、多数の実質的に平行の装置と
    して用いられるか、または相互に交差する少なくとも二
    つの弾性装置よりなることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲
    第３項に記載の吸収物品。 ５、前記第１層が使用者の体形に順応する形状を有し、
    吸収体の端部分のうち少なくとも一つの部分は吸収体の
    中間部分、即ち股部分より幅広く形成されていること、
    前記弾性装置（１２）はおむつの長さに沿つて使用され
    る一方、パターンの頂点がおむつの前端に配置されてほ
    ぼＶ字形に延びていること、さらに該弾性装置が前記硬
    直層（２）の縁により造られた折り目線に沿つて交差点
    の後で柔らかい層（１）の側縁（５、６）を強制的に巻
    上げるためおむつの股部分において硬直第２層の側縁の
    直ぐ前面に交差していることを特徴とするおむつの形に
    つくられた特許請求の範囲第３項に記載の吸収物品。 ６、吸収体に含まれた前記第２層（２）はその中心部分
    に９ｃｍ＾３／ｇ以下の厚さを有するが、該第２層の少
    なくとも一端部分（２３、２４）がさらに高圧縮度を有
    することを特徴とする特許請求の範囲前記各項のいずれ
    か１項に記載の吸収性物品。 ７、股部分から始まる前記第２層が端部分の一方または
    両方へ向う方向に連続的に増加する密度を有することを
    特徴とする特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の吸収性物品。 ８、前記第１層および第２層が例えば熱溶融物によつて
    接合一体化されたことを特徴とする特許請求の範囲前記
    各項のいずれか１項に記載の吸収性物品。
