の電極を配設しその周縁部外方に絶縁リングを設けてな
るユニットを正負両極缶内に少なくとも１個封入した電
気二重層キャパシタにおいて、上記正極缶の内壁面とこ
れに対向する上記負極缶の周縁部外面との間にホットメ
ルト接着剤層を介在させて両缶をホットメルト接着させ
るとともに、上記負極缶の周縁部内面に絶縁塗膜を形成
してこの塗膜と上記接着剤層とにより絶縁シール層を構
