Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the clogging by scales at a clearance, by providing a notch part, which extends to a direction crossing the surface of a liquid and has a twist, to a float and rotating the float by utilizing a waving phenomenon. CONSTITUTION:A float 19 having a leas switch 7 mounted therein slides up and down along a vertical shaft 8 having a clearance 15 between the shaft 8 and the float 19. To this float 19, a notch part 20 extending to a direction crossing the surface of a liquid and having a twist is provided. When the float 19 receives the wave generated to the surface of the liquid, the notch part 20 receives the force of the wave and the float 19 begins to rotate around the vertical shaft 8. By this method, the clogging between the vertical shaft and the float is prevented without changing a appearance dimension and a liquid level can be detected always accurately.

Reference numeral 1 denotes a cooler in an air conditioner (not shown), and a drain pan 3 is provided at the lower part of the cooler to store dehumidified water 2 dehumidified by the cooler 1. The drain pan 3 is provided with a liquid level detection device 6 for detecting the position of the liquid level 4 of the dehumidified water 2, and a drain pump 6 for draining the dehumidified water 2. The drain pump 6 operates for a predetermined time when the liquid level detection device 5 detects a predetermined water level, pumps the dehumidified water 2 to a drain port (not shown) formed in the upper part of the air conditioner whistle body, and drains the water into the casing. It is excreted outside the body.

The liquid level detection device 5 includes a hollow vertical shaft 8 containing a reed switch 7, a lead wire 9 connected to an external control circuit (not shown), and a vertical shaft 8 for sealing the inside of the vertical shaft 8. A mold 10, a nut 11 for fixing the vertical shaft 8 to a mounting member (not shown), a float 12 that is driven up and down along the vertical shaft 8, and the float 12 falling off from the lower end 13 of the vertical shaft 8. It is composed of a stomper 14 for preventing damage. The float 12 has a clearance 15 between it and the vertical shaft 8 for smooth sliding, and also has a built-in magnet 16 for opening and closing the contacts of the internal KIJ.

Further, the outer peripheral shape of the float 12 is cylindrical. Then, as the liquid level 4 of the dehumidified water 2 changes up and down, the float 12 moves up and down, and the magnet 16 causes the reed switch 7 to move up and down.
opens and closes. Therefore, liquid level detection was performed.

Conventionally, in this structure, the clearance 15 between the float 12 and the vertical shaft 8 is clogged with dirt 17 such as water scale, and as a result, the float 12 is blocked despite vertical fluctuations in the liquid level 4.
However, there was a problem in that the liquid level was not being detected properly due to the liquid not sliding properly.

Structure of the Invention In order to achieve this object, the present invention provides a float with a notch extending in a direction that intersects with the liquid surface, and utilizes the ripple phenomenon of the liquid surface to rotate the float, thereby changing the external dimensions from conventional floats. The clearance between the vertical shaft and the float is free from water scale, etc., which makes it boring.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS-1 An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. Since the liquid level detection device 18 of the present invention differs from the conventional example only in the float 12, the same components are given the same reference numerals and detailed explanation thereof will be omitted.

The liquid level detection device 18 has a foot 19 that slides along a vertical shaft 8 containing a reed switch 7 to open and close the reed switch 7. This float 19 has
It extends in a direction intersecting with the liquid level 4 and has a notch 2o that is twisted with respect to the liquid level 4. Therefore, when the float 19 receives waves from the liquid level 4, the notch 2o
receives the force of the waves, and the float 19 begins to rotate about the vertical axis 8. At this time, since the cut portion 2o has a twist with respect to the liquid level 4, it is easier to rotate. This results in a clearance of 1 between the vertical shaft 8 and the float 19.
Since the water will not reach 6, remove limescale and other debris 17
will no longer stay. As a result, since the notch 20 is provided inside the float 19, the phenomenon of dust clogging between the vertical shaft 8 and the float 19 does not occur without changing the external dimensions from the conventional float 12, and the liquid level can always be accurately detected. This effect can be obtained.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention is a liquid level detection device consisting of a float having a cut portion extending in a direction that intersects with the liquid surface. Since the float is rotated using the undulations of the liquid surface, there is no clogging of the vertical axis and the float, and the effect is that the liquid level can always be accurately detected.
