2. Description of the Related Art Static electricity is generated on paper printed by a printing device such as a line printer, causing problems such as inducing malfunction of electric circuits and causing various types of troubles. Conventionally, static electricity removal cloth mixed with thin metal wires has been attached to the paper travel path to remove static electricity, but the paper lifts depending on the paper feed speed and does not come into contact with the static electricity removal member, reducing the static electricity removal effect. Furthermore, if the static eliminator is attached to sandwich the paper from the front and back in order to ensure contact, paper jams are likely to occur.

Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2 showing a side view and a front view of a paper processing device according to an embodiment of the present invention, a pair of ejection rollers are mounted on a machine frame (not shown) located on the side of the paper processing device. 1A and 1B are rotatably mounted and receive rotational force in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 1 by a drive mechanism (not shown). Paper 2 to be folded is inserted between a pair of ejection rollers 1A and 1B, and is conveyed downward by the frictional force thereof.

A pair of swinging members 3A and 3B are rotatably attached to the machine frame and attached to rotating shafts 4A and 4B located below discharge rollers 1A and 1B. Rotating shafts 4A, 4B are provided parallel to discharge rollers 1A, 1B. A plurality of rocking plates 3Ai are arranged in parallel at equal intervals in the axial direction on the rotating shaft 4A on the paper surface side. That is, as shown by dotted lines in FIG. 2, the swinging member 3A is composed of vertically long swinging plates 3A 1 to 3A 4 . The plurality of rocking plates 3A 1 to 3A 4 have rounded ends. The swinging member 3B on the back side of the paper also has the same configuration as above.

The pair of swinging members 3A and 3B are always kept parallel to each other, and the length of the fold of the paper 2 conveyed between the rotating shafts 4A and 4B (the lateral length of the stacked papers 2 in FIG. (L). That is, the discharge rollers 1A and 1B are

It swings and returns to its original position every time the paper 2 is fed by a length of 2L. As a result, the paper 2 is guided along the creases of the folds and folded correctly.

On the back surfaces of the paper path of the swinging members 3A and 3B (the surfaces not facing the paper 2), one sheet of static eliminator 5A and 5B is fixed, respectively, by a known technique such as adhesion. The lower tips of the static eliminating members 5A and 5B are composed of only vertical fibers. Static elimination member 5
The lengths of A and 5B in the vertical direction are approximately the same as the lengths of rocking members 3A and 3B in the vertical direction. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 2, in the portion fixed on the rocking plates 3A1 to 3A4 , the vertical fiber portion at the tip of the static eliminating member 5A is fixed along the roundness of the tip, so that the static eliminating member 5A vertical fibers are rocking plates 3A 1 to 3A 4
It does not protrude below the tip. However, between the oscillating plates, the vertical fiber portion of the static eliminating member 5A is moved between the oscillating plates 3A 1 to 3 due to its rigidity and gravity.
3A protrudes downward from the tip of 4 (the mounting relationship between the swinging member 3B and the static eliminator 5B is also the same).

Therefore, each time the swinging members 3A and 3B swing in accordance with the conveyance amount of the paper 2, the vertical fibers at the tip of the static eliminating member 5 reliably contact the paper 2, and the static electricity on the paper 2 is eliminated.

In this embodiment, the static eliminating member 5 is attached to the back side of the paper path of the swinging member 3 in order to reduce the friction between the paper 2 and the static eliminating member 5 and to prevent the occurrence of paper jams. 3. It goes without saying that by changing the shape of the static eliminating member 5, the static eliminating member 5 can be attached to the paper path side of the swinging member 3 to obtain the same effect as this embodiment.

As explained above, in the present invention, by attaching the static eliminating member to the swinging member that guides the paper along the folds of the paper, the static eliminating member is securely attached to the paper every time the swinging member swings. The static elimination effect can be greatly improved through contact.
