Various attempts have been made to tighten the processing conditions in order to shorten the processing time, but these have the drawbacks of embrittling the fibers and leaving behind cotton dregs as black spots. It has not yet been put into practical use.

We investigated the conditions necessary to obtain white discoloration over a certain period of time, that is, a Hunter whiteness of 80 or more, for fabrics, and calculated this into coefficients from a large amount of data to obtain a general formula, and the volume ratio described above. That is, this can be done with high efficiency and in a short time as long as the filling rate of the processing object into the processing chamber space is within the range of the general formula. On the other hand, if the conditions are outside the range, it will not be possible to solve the basic quality problems such as obtaining the desired quality, i.e., obtaining a certain level of white discoloration, removing scum, and embrittlement of the processed material. bIt's not true. In addition, the processing conditions investigated in the present invention are closely related to each other,
They are complementary to each other, and by appropriately changing the conditions and selecting and using them within the range of the set values, it is possible to always maintain the above-mentioned quality above a certain level.

In addition, for heating in the present invention, high temperature saturated steam,
Although infrared rays, microwaves, etc. can be used arbitrarily, it is particularly preferable to use saturated steam at a high temperature of 90 to 150° C. in order to enhance the treatment effect.
