When the temperature detected by the temperature sensor reaches a temperature preset on the control panel, the air conditioning operation is stopped, or when the temperature deviates from the preset temperature, the air conditioning operation is started. In this case, since the air taken into the air conditioner has a certain velocity, the temperature responsiveness of the temperature sensor is good.

Installable wired or wireless so-called remote control controllers have become popular. Furthermore, in this case, some remote controls have a built-in temperature sensor in order to detect and control the temperature around the user.

The controller casing is generally made of a synthetic resin molded product with a thickness of 2 to 3 mm for mass production and design reasons, so even if many ventilation holes are provided, the heat generated by the electrical components inside will be reduced. Of course, changes in outside air temperature are not easily transmitted to the temperature sensor inside the housing due to the large heat capacity and low thermal conductivity of the housing itself. Although complex control operations are generally possible using electronic means such as microcomputers, the intended functions cannot be obtained because temperature measurement, which is the basis of control, cannot be performed quickly.

Possible methods include making it easier for outside air to flow into the housing, or installing a small motor fan inside the housing to circulate air, but such methods are undesirable from a cost standpoint and also create problems such as restrictions on component placement and large size. In particular, in the case of wireless remote controls, which are naturally required to be completely portable, batteries are used as the controller power source, but the above-mentioned methods increase power consumption and are not practical.

て目的を達するものである。 The present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks at low cost by constructing a part of the controller's casing from a metal plate with high thermal conductivity and low heat capacity, and installing a temperature sensor inside it. This objective is achieved by not only making it possible to quickly detect the external air temperature by tightly fixing the housing, but also minimizing the influence of unnecessary heat from the housing body.

If there is a difference, a light signal is transmitted via the light emitting element 3 to command the start of air conditioning operation. The optical receiver on the air conditioner body side receives this signal and starts air conditioning operation. When the temperature sensor 2 detects that the air temperature has reached the set temperature, the air conditioning operation is stopped using the same procedure as above. The pushbutton switches 4, 5, etc. perform additional functions such as turning on/off the power supply and selecting whether to display or hide the temperature display 6 that displays the ambient temperature.
