る。 This pulse output type controller is suitable for use as a regulator in feedback control of flow rate, etc., in instrumentation systems for thermal, hydraulic, and nuclear power plants, and is used to adjust the target value and measured value of the controlled variable. It forms a pulse with a width proportional to the deviation and sends it to the operating section. A motor valve with integral characteristics is sometimes used in the operating section. Motor valves require a large amount of current when starting up, and have the characteristic that if the current is applied for less than a certain period of time, the starting torque will not be reached and the valve will not start. Therefore, frequent turning on and off of the motor valve may cause burn-in. Further, when a motor valve driving relay is inserted between the motor valve and the controller, there is a problem that the relay also burns out. Therefore, in order to avoid frequent turning on and off, a minimum pulse width is set.

PV-SV (Figure 3b) is supplied. In the dead band circuit 2, the absolute value of the input deviation PV-SV is a predetermined value W.
(Fig. 3b) When smaller than 2W, that is, dead zone 2W
When the input deviation is within the predetermined value, a zero signal is output, and when it is larger than the predetermined value, the input deviation is directly applied. Therefore, the output of the dead band circuit 2 is zero as long as the deviation is within the dead band. Dead band circuit 2
The output of is given to the conversion circuit 3. The conversion circuit 3 compares the output of the dead band circuit 2 with the sawtooth wave ST (Fig. 3 c) that starts rising from the zero level at each sampling time T s (Fig. 3 a), and calculates the output from the dead band circuit 2 from each sampling time T s. , a pulse having a width up to the time when the sawtooth wave ST exceeds the output of the dead band circuit 2 is outputted from its output terminal 3a (FIG. 3d).
The width of the output pulse at the output terminal 3a of the conversion circuit 3 is
As long as the input changes slowly, it is approximately proportional to the magnitude of the input. Output terminal 3 of conversion circuit 3
The output of a is supplied to a one-shot circuit 4. The one-shot circuit 4 generates a pulse that rises with the input pulse and then falls after a predetermined time (FIG. 3e). The OR circuit 5 calculates the logical sum of the output from the conversion circuit 3 and the pulse from the one-shot circuit 4 and outputs the result (FIG. 3f). The output of the OR circuit 5 is sent to an operation section (not shown) via a terminal 6. As a result, the width of the pulse appearing at the terminal 6 becomes zero in the range where the magnitude of the deviation signal supplied to the terminal 1 is smaller than the predetermined value W, and when the magnitude is greater than the predetermined value W and corresponds to the pulse width of the one-shot circuit 4. In a small range, the pulse width is equal to the pulse width of the one-shot circuit 4, and in a range larger than the pulse width of the one-shot circuit 4, it is proportional to the pulse width. The one-shot circuit 4 determines the minimum width of the pulse due to frequent on-offs as described above.
This is to avoid turning it off. The reason why the dead band circuit 2 is provided to ignore deviations smaller than a predetermined value is to prevent hunting. However, in the above configuration, within a range where the magnitude of the signal supplied to the terminal 1 is smaller than the magnitude corresponding to the pulse width of the one-shot circuit 4, there is no proportional relationship between the deviation and the pulse width. For this reason, a pulse with a width that is not proportional to the deviation is applied to the operating section, and overshoot and undershoot are repeated, resulting in hunting. Furthermore, if a disturbance as shown by the broken line in FIG. 3b occurs immediately after the sampling time and during a period when the sawtooth wave is smaller than the dead band level W, then the output of the conversion circuit 3 is affected by the broken line in FIG. 3d. A pulse like the one shown appears. As a result, an output as shown by the broken line in FIG. 2e appears at the output of the one-shot circuit 4. This pulse is supplied to the operating section through the OR circuit 4 as described above. In this way, in the device shown in Figure 1,
If a disturbance with a short pulse width appears at the sample time, an undesirable manipulated variable will be given based on the disturbance. Therefore, in a process control system that includes many disturbances, the above-mentioned controller is always in a hunting state due to the undesirable operation amount.
In order to prevent such hunting, it is conceivable to widen the dead zone width, but this will result in poor responsiveness and lower control accuracy.

The result is logically ANDed with the output of (Fig. 3g). Inverter 17 inverts the output of AND circuit 16. One-shot circuit 18 is inverter 1
A pulse is generated that rises at the same time as the output pulse No. 7 rises, and then falls after a predetermined time (Fig. 3h). The width of the output pulse of the one-shot circuit 18 is determined to be the same as the width of the output pulse of the one-shot circuit 14. The OR circuit 19 calculates the sum of the output of the one shot circuit 18 and the output of the AND circuit 16 and outputs the sum (FIG. 3i). OR circuit 1
The output of 9 is sent to an operation section (not shown) via a terminal 20. As a result, when the magnitude of the deviation signal supplied to the terminal 11 is smaller than the magnitude corresponding to the pulse width of the one-shot circuit 14, the terminal 20

Although the rise of the pulse sent from 0 to the operating section is delayed by the width of the output pulse of the one-shot circuit 14 from the sample time Ts , this delay is hardly a problem.

る。 As described above, according to the present invention, when the deviation is less than a predetermined value or when the pulse is in the form of a short pulse due to disturbance, no pulse is given to the operation unit, and when the deviation is greater than the predetermined value, the pulse is not given in the form of a short pulse. Otherwise, a pulse with a width proportional to the deviation is applied to the operating section. Therefore, the control system does not cause hunting. In addition, by reducing the dead zone,
Responsiveness and control accuracy can be improved.
