[Detailed description of the invention] The curling lens referred to here refers to a lens that becomes flat when pressure is applied from the front and back, and restores to a predetermined shape such as a bow or U-shape in cross section when external force is removed.

2. Description of the Related Art There has been a magnifying glass in the shape shown in FIG. 1, which is called a semicylindrical lens. It is convenient because you can place it directly on the paper and view the document enlarged without having to hold it in your hand, but it is solid and relatively heavy enough to function as a paperweight, making it unsuitable for carrying.

On the other hand, Fresnel lenses have recently become popular as handy magnifying glasses, but like regular magnifying glasses, they must be held at a distance from the paper depending on their focal length when in use. This is a difficult point compared to the above example.

The present invention provides a magnifying glass that has only the advantages of both, while eliminating the disadvantages of both.

Figure 2 is a perspective view showing one example. When a transparent plate made of synthetic resin or the like with elasticity is deformed and pressure is applied from the front and back as shown by the arrow, it becomes flat, and when the external force is removed, it restores its cross-sectional shape to an arcuate shape. A Fresnel lens having the magnification effect of a semicylindrical lens is formed on the outer surface. Figure 2a is an enlarged cross-sectional view taken on a plane perpendicular to the axial direction (the thickness and pitch of the Fresnel lens are exaggerated), but in this case Figure 2b
A Fresnel lens may be formed on the inner surface as shown in the cross section.

Furthermore, in the above example, the restoring force depends on the striations of the material itself, but FIG. 3 shows an example in which the restoring force is imparted by attaching striations to both ends. Various methods can be used for attachment, such as gluing, fitting, and clamping with nails and holes.

Moreover, FIG. 4 shows an example in which the cross section is restored to a curved surface having an arcuate cross section, whereas the cross section is restored to a deformed U-shape, and a Fresnel lens is formed only on the upper horizontal surface. In this case, it is easier to use a Fresnel lens based on a normal magnifying glass, that is, a spherical surface or a parapet surface (usually a spherical surface), rather than a Fresnel lens based on a semicylindrical lens. This is because, unlike a semicylindrical lens, it allows magnified vision in all directions.

Furthermore, during manufacturing, it is also possible to obtain the above lens by attaching a separately made Fresnel lens to a transparent plate. Furthermore, if you open a window in the area where the lens is attached, you can use a metal spring instead of a transparent plate for the base material, which greatly expands the range of materials you can choose from.

As described above, according to the present invention, if the page is inserted between books, it becomes flat and can be used as a bookmark, and when the page is opened, it can be restored and used like a semicircular lens, and there is no need to hold it by hand. This makes it possible to create a magnifying glass that combines the advantages of both a Fresnel lens and a semicylindrical lens, but eliminates the disadvantages, making a huge contribution to social life.

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] (1) Applying pressure from the front and back will make the material flat, and removing external force will improve the springiness of the structural material itself or the springiness imparted by incorporating a spring material into the structural material. Therefore, a magnifying glass is characterized in that a Fresnel lens is formed on a part or all of a plate-like material that is restored to a cross-section of an arcuate shape, a U-shape, a modified U-shape, or the like. (2) The magnifying glass according to claim 1 of the utility model registration claim, in which the entire structural material is made of a transparent plate such as a synthetic resin, and a part or all of it is a Fresnel lens. (3) A magnifying glass according to claim 1, which has been registered as a utility model, in which part or all of the structural material is made of a transparent plate made of synthetic resin or the like, and a Fresnel lens is incorporated in the transparent part. (4) A magnifying glass as set forth in claim 1 of the utility model registration claim, in which a window is formed in a part of the structural material and a Fresnel lens is incorporated in the part.
