First, a large number of sheets of transmission original paper P are loaded into the paper feed section 3.
When the document is placed on the paper feeding section 10 of the paper, the first switch 11 is turned on, and the pulse motor 30 is turned on.
The power supply circuit 52 is turned on, the pulse motor 30 is driven, the feed roller 7 is rotated, and the original paper P is rapidly transported forward. At this time, the front edges of the many manuscript papers except the lowest manuscript paper come into contact with the return belt 8, and the belt 8 is rotated in the opposite direction to the feed roller 7, so that The transfer to the lowermost tier is prevented, and only the one sheet of manuscript paper at the bottom stage is transferred, and after that, the manuscript paper of the next stage is transferred, and in this way, the manuscript papers are automatically transported one by one in the order of their addresses. In this way, the original paper P is transferred forward, and while it passes between the light emitting element 15 and the light receiving element 16 of the second switch 14, the second switch 1
4 is in the on state and connects the drive of the pulse motor 30. Further, the original paper P is transferred and transferred under pressure by the upper feed rollers 17 and 17' of the reading scanning section 4, and is transferred to the light emitting element 22 of the third switch 21.
When the leading edge of the original paper P reaches the position of the window hole 19, that is, on the reading line, the third switch 21 is turned on. circuit 5
6, the fast forwarding of the document paper P is canceled and sub-scanning is performed at a constant speed, and the document is read and scanned.
Reading and scanning of the original is performed by irradiating light from a light source 27 onto the original paper P from inside the window hole 19, forming an image of the original using a lens system 28, and transmitting the imaged light to a photoelectric conversion device 29. It is guided to a photosensitive surface, photoelectrically converted, and transmitted. At this time, the clutch drive circuit 54 is turned off, the electromagnetic clutch 32 is separated, and the feed roller 7
Transmission of the rotational force from the pulse motor 30 to the rotating shaft 31 of the document is stopped, the feed roller 7 and the return belt 8 are stopped, and the next document sheet is not transferred.

When a single document is read and transmitted as described above, a single recorded image is obtained on the receiving side.
To obtain a plurality of recorded images for one document on the receiving side, the following operation is performed. That is, when the inversion switching signal S3 is supplied to the second logic circuit 51 and the inversion fast-forward clock signal S3 is outputted to the pulse motor drive circuit 56, the reading scanning of the original is completed in the reading scanning section 4, and the original is The pulse motor 30 is driven in the reverse direction while the paper P is being transferred under pressure by the lower feed rollers 18 and 18', and the feed roller 1
7, 17' and 18, 18' rotate in the opposite direction, and the original paper P
is transported back. At this time, the transfer conversion guide body 24
is the original paper P whose direction is changed (indicated by the two-dot chain line in FIG. 1) by the drive of the solenoid 27 and is transported backwards.
is returned to the front side of the casing 1 from the return passage 6, and in this state, the pulse motor 30 is again driven in normal rotation to rotate the feed rollers 17, 17', 18, 18' in the normal direction, and returned to the return passage 6. The original paper P is again transferred to the reading/scanning device 4, where the original is read, scanned, and transmitted in the same manner as described above.

In this way, the same document is transmitted as multiple documents by repeating the reversal transfer between the reading scanning device 4 and the return path 6 without ejecting one document sheet P from below the path 2 to the outside. As described above, according to the present application, the feed roller of the reading scanning unit is configured to be able to rotate in forward and reverse directions, and in normal facsimile transmission in which one recorded image is obtained from one original, the original paper is transferred from the paper feeding unit. The paper is transferred to the reading scanning section, and after being read and scanned, it is ejected as is.If you wish to obtain multiple recorded images from one sheet of paper as necessary, the document is transferred to the reading and scanning section. By repeating forward and reverse transport according to the required number of recorded strokes, the sub-scanning of one sheet of manuscript paper can be automatically repeated and transmitted, making it easy for the receiving side to obtain multiple recorded images of the same manuscript. In addition, it is possible to eliminate the need for copying on the receiving side, allowing the recorded images to be quickly distributed to various locations, and there is no need to provide a copying device, simplifying the equipment on the receiving side. Since the repetitive sub-scanning is automatically performed continuously from the feeding of the original paper, it has the advantage that the operation for transmitting the original becomes extremely simple.
