Claims (1)
- 機器のハウジング側に支持された固定摺動機環
と前記ハウジングに軸支された回転軸に外挿嵌着
したカラーに支持された回転摺動環との密接摺動
により被シール流体をシールし、かつ所定時にク
エンチング水を流し込んで清浄作業を行なうよう
に構成されたメカニカルシールにおいて、前記清
浄時、クエンチング水が前記回転摺動環の背後に
浸入しないように該回転摺動環に対する前記カラ
ーの保持部におけるクエンチング水流入側にＯリ
ング等のシール部材を配設してなることを特徴と
するメカニカルシール。
