As a result, various skin diseases are common in Japan, with 20% of men and 12% of women suffering from ringworm, or athlete's foot. However, skin diseases are difficult to cure, and effective treatments have been desired.

For ringworm, medicine solutions and ointments are salicylic acid, undecylenic acid benzoic acid, etc., and tablets are griseofulvin. In the case of candidiasis, medical solutions include salicylic acid and pioctanin solutions, ointments include empecid and pimafucin ointments, and tablets include trichomycin, nystatin, and amphotericin B.

In addition, the effects of medicinal solutions and ointments were difficult on the footpads and finger and palm areas, where the disease usually occurs. The reason why it is less effective is because there are no pores and it is difficult for the medicinal ingredients to penetrate, and because the skin is covered with a hard and thick stratum corneum, the medicinal ingredients do not penetrate deep into the skin, so the fingers and palms have the most contact with objects, so there is no opportunity for cleaning. This is because the footpads are the skin that is most prone to getting stuffy and it is difficult to retain the medicinal ingredients due to sweat. Further, even if the medicinal component temporarily penetrates deep into the skin, if the medicinal component is not retained, the effect will only be temporary.

Taking medicines for Trichophyton as an example, salicylic acid has a high antibacterial value of 2,000, and undecylenic acid has a high antibacterial value of 5,000. However, although these medicinal ingredients are effective against fungi such as Trichophyton, they are completely ineffective against spores. Therefore, although the bacterial system is sterilized by the medicinal ingredients, the spores remain.

The remaining spores quickly multiplied and the ringworm recurred, and even if treatment by topical application was continued, this would only happen again, and the treatment would not be very effective.

Theoretically, skin diseases can be completely cured by continuing treatment for a period during which the stratum corneum is metabolized. This completely overturns the concept of skin diseases, which have been extremely difficult to cure for many years.
